"Carl and Christine were so welcoming. The room was excellent and very clean and comfortable. BUT we ran out of toilet roll. There was fruit, cereal and toast for breakfast and tea or coffee ad lib. Parking in the grounds. We were only here for 1 night for University Open Day but I would definitely stay here again. Unpretentious and very good value. I have a hip problem and Carl let me sit in the lounge until my wife and son were ready."
"I had good sleep. The lady making breakfast very friendly makes you feel like home. I booked one day and then added another night. Good for the price, I had to ask for pillows the one was in the room wasn’t to my liking . "

In the bedroom, three of four pillows on the bed had brown marks on them; the dressing table chair had a long brown streaky stain on it (looked like 💩) and in the bathroom, there was no rubber seal on the bottom of the glass shower screen, so water poured out onto the floor when showering. Other minor cosmetic issues included missing tiles under the bathroom sink, and scuffs on...
"Lets start from the entrance, the door broken. The person at the reception was ok, i must admit.
The room? A disaster!! Old floor carpet not clean. The shower old and with signs of wear. The toilet was shaking. The door of the shower room broken. The ceiling had cracks and i woke up in the night as water was dripping from them..
It was a nightmare. Early morning i went to the reception, the person there (a different one) all he could say was that he was sorry.. We left...

"We booked this to stay months ago for my daughter’s graduation. Arrived at approximately 6:45pm with no one on the reception and no contact. Phoned the shared number and no answer so text to receive a response that they are not responsible for the property and to delete the number. Did not stay as had no access and had to search for last minute accommodation instead. Do not book as not what it is sold to be. Now waiting for the refund."

Great that There was a fridge & microwave ans I used both !
Sonia & Ian are a lovely couple and it was great to see them again .
They have themed nights at the pub and I hope to be going back soon to sample 👌"
