"We liked this property for its close proximity to train station and center of Oxford. It’s simple and minimalistic but good enough for a short stay. The staff is extremely cordial and helpful. Room is small and we had a slanting ceiling, being on the top floor, which you could bump head on if not careful."
"A great option for a quick 1-night stay in central Oxford. My top floor room was clean and comfortable, with a new TV, fan, kettle, water and biscuits. The bathroom was perfectly adequate, with a warm shower and towels/toiletries provided. No complaints at all - some of the reviews seem a little unfair.
I appreciate it probably gets quite hot in summer, and there was a minor smell in the ground floor entrance hall, but otherwise all was OK. Very fast check-in which was appreciated given I was...
"Costa was very welcoming with information before arrival then when arriving early with check in and letting us drop our bags in our rooms when we arrived early and more than helpful with our parking. Rooms were lovely, big and modern with all amenities, would definately return if visiting Oxford again. Thank you Costa"
"Great country space. Loved the location but would suggest trying to get there before dark to make it easier to find. Comfortable bed, quiet location, great access to walking trails and not too far into the town. Easy commute to Oxford, either park and ride or bus. Great facilities in the cottage."
"I liked the quirky design and the good location
But as a solo woman traveller I did not like that there was no staff on site .
It seems they are only there when the bar is open Wednesday to Saturday night
Also the WiFi was terrible
Even the TV did not work, just kept buffering"
"The hotels.com site states there is a reataurant at the location, there is but only open until 1500hrs, so that was a big issue as delivery was the next choice, pizza, indian etc not a great option and a minimium of £30 to get a delivery, a pain on your own. I then had an issue closing the room window as that neess maintenance, the tv controls were next, there were none and the great staff had to find a spare set.
The staff were great and the pub nice, accomodation was tired and not in walking...
"I liked everything, from the delicious breakfasts, to the quaintness and lovely private patio in the back. It is right in the middle of everything going on in Stow; yet you can have a relaxed glass of wine in the back and get away from it all. And the staff are friendly and genuinely interested in you enjoying your stay!"
"It was a really nice setting (it would have been great if it had been warm and sunny, sat out in the courtyard). The room we stayed in was very small, but clean and functional for a one or two night stay. We would definitely recommend it and will stay here again."
