The room was spotless- the pipes had some issues but the staff worked on it immediately and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great!! Would 100% stay again!!

The owners and staff were delightful to interact and chat with-- The room was clean and comfortable, views were fabulous and keyless entry was convenient. Close to town and shops and restaurants.. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel in the very serene Lake Placid. It is within walking distance of just about every restaurant, shop and bar . The staff at the hotel were very hospitable, professional and personable thus making the stay even more enjoyable. ..I would highly recommend this to anyone planning on spending time up in the beautiful Adirondacks.

So my family takes at least two camping trips a year to the ADKs, this year we were concerned about some pretty bad weather coming in so decided to end the trip in a hotel. I saw this place on hotels.com and thought it would be fun for the kids to sleep in a cabin with a little loft. Well they loved it! After traveling a long way I was greeted at the desk by a wonderful female staff. She provided me dinner recommendations and reminded me of the complementary beverages in the lobby. This place was perfect. The place was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. I would stay again.

A unique place. rebuilt older mansion very nicely done. loved the experience and the caretaker was quite a nice guy. I was travelling on my own and it was so nice to stay in a place that is not just a cookie cutter chain hotel.

I believe this hotel is under new owners and they are very kind. This hotel was just what we needed for a one night stay in Lake Placid. You can walk to town or you could drive. What I liked best about this stay was the access to Mirror Lake. They have kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards for guests to use as they'd like. They have Adirondack chairs to relax on on the lake too. It was very clean.The room was decorated very rustic.I loved the decor .Check in was very easy and check out was the same. It was in walking distance to downtown.

We liked how close it was to the lake and to the main street shopping and dining. A couple of pointers to the hotel, a small coffee table would be nice to have by the sofa to put a coffee or a drink while watching tv. There was no way to dim or turn off the light in the kitchen if we were sitting in the living room area. Perhaps a side lamp would solve the problem. The vent in the bathroom worked only after the microwave vent was turned on. Otherwise it was clean and exactly what we needed....

The Gore Mountain Lodge is a wonderful and unique spot minutes from Gore Mountain ski area and the fun town of North Creek. Rooms are clean, comfortable and creatively decorated. It does not feel like a motor inn. We will go back.

Pulled into the inn, got the key, went to our room which was nice and warm, and watch TV before going to sleep. Check out consisted of dropping the key off and leaving. Simplest and easiest check in, check out I've ever done. Everything was workable and clean without adequate plugs for devices. Coffee, fridge, and microwave were available in room.
