"I booked this after seeing there’s only one albergue in Gernika and feeling unsure it would be open. You enter the hotel through the reception bar, the bartender gave me the keys. The room was modest but clean, although the mattress and duvet could’ve used another sheet each as they were well worn. Slightly squeaky bed, decent shower pressure. All in all, not worth the 40 euros but I had little choice."

"We had a delightful stay at Hotel Arimune. Although it wasn’t quite warm enough for the beach, we loved having it right at our doorstep. The room was clean & very comfortable. Unai served a delicious breakfast & provided recommendations of other towns to explore in the region. Definitely recommend a stay here for anyone visiting Bakio!"

"The hotel is in a really great location and is surrounded by plenty of places to eat and drink, as well as being only a few minutes walk from local bus, tram and metro services. Authentic charming hotel.
"The Hotel Branka is lovely. The people running it are extremely nice and kind, and the welcome very genuine. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and as described in the details. There is a nice little bar and a shady terrace. Breakfast was fairly basic. The harbour in the village is lovely, and just 2 minutes walk away. Parking in Mundaka is challenging to say the least. The streets are very narrow, and much of the parking is residential. As we left, we saw a larger, slightly out of town parking area just on the road heading on to Gaztelugatxe, which might help you if you are stuck. Its certainly a nice harbour area, and Hotel Branka felt very authentic and was good value for money. "
