"Paris is always expensive, especially pre-Olympics, so I knew with a budget trip of one day and a half I had to find something simple and well localized. Hotel du Cygne delivers that, no more, no less - I got a decent small bedroom, reasonably well cleaned with a tiny (I’m 5’7’’ and I kept hitting the walls when showering) bathroom. It’s an old building with lots of carpet so be aware of that if you’re allergic. Breakfast for €8 is not really worth it: stale baguette and croissant with a glass...

The first time they messed up our booking and gave our "superior" room to someone else(!), leaving us with a smaller "standard" room. They offered us free entry to the Banksy museum as an apology but we didn't have time to do it, so a bit of a disappointment there. The bathroom also had a bad smell that first time. BUT the beds were comfortable, the Banksy theme was fun, the prices weren't too bad, the location was really handy...
