"Overall, this hotel is very average. There were a few positive and negatives. I’ll start with the positives. After asking for water and toiletries, they were eventually provided. They let me shower after checkout and stored my bag, which was nice! The room is very average, but there was a gap above the door that didn’t shut all the way which let bugs in at night. "This is a lovely family owned guest house with clean rooms, good food, and amazing hosts. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. I am frequently in Hikkaduwa and every time I book here without hesitation. Highly recommend it. The only downside is it is right near the train tracks and you will be waken in the morning by the whistles and rush of the train going by- but if you're an early bird or get back to sleep it's totally worth it."
