It's real India. Everyone wants your money, nobody is horrible though. You need to learn to say no and mean it. But this is a very old city with all the charm. Get to the Taj as early as you can. We went at 7am and it was dreamy.

Hectic from a westerners perspective but everyone was polite and eager to help.
"We stayed for a night while visiting Agra. The hotel is clean and we had a pleasant stay. If you are visiting from the US then will find the hotel just like back home. Staff was very nice and breakfast was delicious with variety of options. The hotel travel desk arranged a taxi and guide for us to visit Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, the package is reasonably priced. However i would not recommend travel desk for out of station ( city) travel. We were given same CNG taxi for our booking to Jaipur, which was not comfortable for 5 hour journey. "
