"We were there when the Israeli-Palestinian conflict began. There were some demonstrations nearby, but it seemed safe enough. There were very good bakeries and dining very close by. The staff were excellent. The room was clean and the shower was hot and strong. Metro connection was excellent."

"We arrived early. The man at the desk couldn’t have been friendlier. We checked into a small room with a large window that opened from the 6th floor overlooking the busy street below. "Our stay at The Hotel General in Paris was terrific. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and got us tickets to the museum. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. The room and bathroom were spacious. Very clean. Breakfast was great. A 3 minute walk to the metro at Republic and access to everything. Lovely restaurants close by. We would definitely return to this hotel. A gem for sure. "
