5/5 - Excellent
Tamarindo has amazing dining options. I never had a bad meal. From tacos to salads to pasta to seafood, everything was fresh, locally sourced and delicious.

If you’re going for the views & the pool - it’s a great hotel. With that said the rooms need a full renovation. The AC leaks, the bathroom is very run down and the room has no furniture (other than a bed). The rooms are not great. Also - locals crash the pool (especially at sun set) and the hotel ...

Every member of that staff that I interacted with had a smile on their face and was happy to answer any questions or help in any way. The room was clean and spacious. Highly recommend upgrading to the garden or pool view room. The resort had everything we needed!

Was easy check in, a nice central outdoor shared space with a pool. Only problem was the shower water pressure was very low. Besides that great value for location. Nice fridge, ac worked fine, and everything was clean

One of the nicest villas I’ve been to. There was two gates to get there but super exclusive and very safe.

Will go again!!!
From town to the Cala Luna, the standard cab fare is $10. The hotel has arranged for cabs into town for $5. There are quite a few dining choices in town but I didn't try them. Near to the hotel is El Sapo, an excellent pizza restaurant.
The water is great for surfing.
Due to our age (80's) and handicaps we had to downgrade our wonderful room #4 to room # 40 because of the many stairs , We expected a compensation, but according to reception staff , none was to be had. Hopefully, for a future trip we can negotiate
Its very touristy
