"This hotel was a lot newer than we expected! It had an nice, private outdoor pool and patio area that was tucked behind the hotel. Pool towels are not openly offered. You need to check them in and out at the front desk. Their incidental charge is high and takes a long time to be cleared off. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we were in the area."

"I had a very comfortable stay at E.C. Reed's Mercantile hotel. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is an older building with the typical problems that come with that. I noticed that the floor was a bit unlevel and I would have liked to have seen a staff person while there. It's just comforting to see other people. I arrived after hours so I knew that, going in. However, it is a very safe and friendly town so I wasn't too worried about any nefarious activity. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room is decorated very tastefully. Very clean all-around. I also appreciated having coffee and a bite to eat for free!"

"Great location for events at The Camp, the boat launch, and a swimming beach. The property is clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. We especially liked listening to the birds, catching fireflies, and waving to the friendly neighbors while sitting under the pergola. Check-in was easy-peasy, and communication with the host was great. We will definitely stay again."
