"Everyone was amazing. I traveled and stayed here solo. Staff were friendly and welcoming. My Spanish is pitiful at best, they were so patient with me and everyone I dealt with spoke English, so when my sad attempts at Spanish inevitably failed it wasn’t a problem at all.
After I checked out, as I was leaving to the airport, I had a mechanical issue with my rental car. MaryCarmen was SO INCREDIBLY HELPFUL. She called the rental car company for me (the first time I called there wasn’t an option for service in English), she connected with them on WhatsApp for me, came with me to the car to help me get a video of the issue to send, let me use HER phone to speak with the agent myself… she truly went above and beyond. I cannot adequately express my gratitude for how much she helped me.
If I ever return to Mérida, I will definitely stay here again."
