"If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Peacocks at the back door herds of dear and flocks of amazing rheas much better than advertised. You do need a car with good clearance for the track through the forest but it's worth it as it all ads to the amazing adventure. "We had an amazing stay. Bob and Liz were lovely and friendly hosts, provided a really nice breakfast and a nice, tasteful welcome package in the fridge. The authentic cottage was a lovely and peaceful place to stay, well renovated and well accomodated. As is the case in most cottages, some of the beams and ceilings are quite low, so watch your head. The walks on the grounds between the bluebells are an absolute must in spring. In the nearby area the places to visit are Plaw Hatch Farm, Bluebell...

"A luxury cottage in a beautiful setting. Tastefully furnished with a pretty garden. Unfortunately the countryside setting wasn’t that peaceful as sporadically two very loud men were working on restoring some vintage double decker buses in the adjoining barn - language and diesel fumes not so welcome."
