"Not as advertised at all. Main picture of brick building is in fact a pub across the canal. Heating not working so they put oil rads in two rooms. I could have stayed as usual in the Rookery for less money. This is one case where you “don’t get what you paid for”

"This hotel is in a very old Tudor style building with heaps of charm and quirkiness. This is a popular and busy pub/restaurant/hotel. Our room was on the top floor with access by stairs with high risers. The double bedroom was small with only one bedside table and no cupboards and only one stool so it is best suited to a one night stay. The room was clean and tidy with again the charm of an uneven floor which is not a problem just be aware. As the room is close to the roof it can get very warm...

Unfortunately there is no air conditioning tho and we were given a fan but it just didn’t do the job My partner brought another one with him thankfully but still this hotel really could do with air conditioning installing
The bar was very very pricey and we weren’t expecting it to be so expensive
The breakfast was not good at all There were only five items on the hot buffet

However the rooms were rather small with limited facilities for the price paid.
Breakfast times restricted to 8-10 , would extend to accommodate guests’needs. Also a bit disappointing you had to pay a supplement to have half of the items on the menu"
