Woolacombe is within the only designated World Surfing Reserve in the UK and is consistently ranked in the top 10 of the UK’s Best Beaches on TripAdvisor. There are shops, cafés, pubs, bars and restaurants all just a 10-minute stroll away from the apartment as well as direct access to the coastal path around Woolacombe Bay, and Barricane Beach with its café’s famous ’Curry on the Beach’ (in high season only) is directly opposite where you can make the most of the beautiful sunsets. Local picturesque villages Mortehoe, Croyde and Lee are well worth a visit and Victorian llfracombe is 15 mins by car where there are supermarkets and attractions including a theatre, aquarium, Damien Hirst’s ’Verity’, the tunnel beaches and a fishing harbour offering boat trips to Lundy Island. The town of Barnstaple has all the facilities you may need and for family-friendly adventures head to Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park or further afield The Big Sheep or Milky Way Adventure Park.
