"We received a very warm welcome and it seemed as if nothing was too much trouble for them. Everything about the room seemed designed for the guests' comfort rather than the hotel's convenience. It was an easy walk into the city centre and there is the option of a bus back if you don't fancy the walk up the hill. Alexandra Park, about 15 minutes walk from the hotel, offers superb panoramic views across the city. Breakfast was excellent - cooked options freshly made to order with a wide choice."

"Overall was very happy to stay here for 4 nights. Room was clean and staff were helpful and friendly. Plenty to choose from for breakfast and if you wanted an evening meal at the hotel prices were very reasonable. Large car park so no problem parking. Only downside were the narrow winding lanes to get to the hotel which put us off a bit coming back in the dark after our day out or going out in the evening."

"A lovely old coaching inn in a nice setting. My room had a view of the cathedrala and green. Ideal for a short visit and I managed to get there in time for a car parking place. Only downside was no lift"

"This is our regular Hotel when visiting wells to see family, Always get a good welcome, nice big rooms, with a traditional bath tub which we both love as only have wet room at home, it was very busy at breakfast,we were greeted and sat down smoothly, the Breakfast offer gets better every time we visit, food quality was excellent, looking forward to our next visit."

"Delicious evening meal, both the tomato soup and the lamb and belly pork in gravy, very nice polite waitress. Basic bar available. Clean bathroom, very nice gel soap for bath, lovely large bed and crisp bedding No real facilities other than restaurant and the bar closes at 10. Very few comfy seats in the restaurant to retire to after dinner and these were taken over by a large group, so we had to either continue to sit at our table or go back to our room. Outside town so not an easy walk to other restaurants or bars Overall however the price reflects this and the hotel was very good value."

"Everything was great, friendly staff and everything maintained to a high standard. The breakfast was great and in a lovely setting. The only issue I had was I couldn’t connect to the WIFI when I needed to as the code wasn’t in the visitor guide. It simply said speak to a member of staff if you are having trouble, but it was too late for that and unfortunately this is a far greater inconvenience that maybe it should be. But such is the world we live in. This is, however, surely a very simple fix. In any case, I do plan on staying here again on a regular basis, needing to stay in Glastonbury at least once per month for the foreseeable future. I will just make sure I get connected during check in moving forward and that’s the one tip I would give to others, as that small hiccup aside, you couldn’t ask for a nicer place reasonably priced."
