"We liked the hotel grounds with acres of fields the best. The views were spectacular. Dinner served at the hotel was also delicious. I had the seabass fillets with baby potatoes, and the seabass fillet and the skin was cooked perfectly...it wasnt dry at all. My husband had the ribs and he swears that they are the best ribs he has ever come across...they were definitely more superior than the Harvester - they were meaty and not fatty!! Thank The breakfast had variety. A cooked to order menu and the buffet. We stayed in the courtyard. The double room was ok. Basic, I would say. It didnt come with the usual hotel bath robes or slippers. And the shower is a fixed head, not a rainfall shower. It would have been nice to have a movable shower hose as well as a fixed shower head for added convenience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And car parking spaces were aplenty."

"We had a great stay. Good sized twin bedded room with nice little outside sitting area overlooking the river. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast fresh and plentiful. Parking was £5 per night which was fine as the hotel is well located an easy 10 minute walk from the cathedral and town centre."

"The food was really lovely. The staff were amazing The special events coordinator could not do enough for us for our cousins reunion Our room and bathroom were fabulous, ask for room 8 or 11 We will most certainly be back"
The Wiltshire Hotel, Golf and Leisure Resort

"Having read previous reviews, our expectations were low. Only to find in booking in that the rooms were very good. Spacious, clean and with good facilities. The only criticism internally was the carpet could benefit from either cleaning or replacing. The stairwells could also benefit from a paint refresh. The staff go beyond on providing customer service and trust they are getting rewarded accordingly. The food, although the service was slow, the evening meal was very good but the portions were on the small side. More garlic bread with the Chilli please. The breakfast was excellent. Now the golf course, the greens regardless of the fact that we were told they were being maintained they are the worst greens we have seen in 50 years of playing golf elsewhere. One of our party was friends with the previous owner 10 years ago and the course then was immaculate. It still has the same potential but needs investment.Then it would be a lovely place to come for Golfing Weekend and also maybe a Wedding venue. My final statement, is that you ran out of Guinness."

"It was difficult to access the room, I would have preferred a manned reception area as everything needed code to open. First the front door then the e key safe, and all instructions by phone. Maybe I’m just old fashioned but it’s nicer to talk face to face. But the apartment was great."
