"Scenic, accommodating pets, homely feel, good views from room. Good downstairs rooms with National Trust like decor. Swimming pool & jacuzzi fab. Downside guest rooms dated but very comfortable beds. Needed a little dust. But didn’t spoil our stay. Would stay again. "

"It was clean and the staff offered to help with any bags or see us to our room. We stayed one night on our way through town. This is an old building. It was exactly what we expected and needed. If you want a new hotel this is not it. You will be disappointed. However, it is quiet, worn but clean, cozy, and very convenient at a very reasonable price."

"Excellent all round! Cottage and location - tucked into the peaceful countryside. Contemporary decor but still a cosy and welcoming space with lovely views of green hills. We had everything we needed and Charles couldn’t have been more helpful! We even saw the promised deer and little resident vole!"
