"The host was very amenable. The property was very clean, breakfast had a great choice of continental options and it was nice and warm for our 2 day stay.
Parking was at the rear. "

"Exceptional B&B in Beautiful English Countryside
We were looking for a scenic place to rest up after our overnight flight to the UK from the USA and found this amazing place.
Located in a beautiful, rural area with plenty to see and experience nearby. The property is stunning and very well-maintained.
John and Elizabeth were amazing hosts. Warm, genuinely friendly, accommodating, and fascinating in their own life experiences. It's not every day that you get to meet an Olympic medalist!

"Breakfast is a rip off. We were not advised at check-in that it was £5 cheaper if we paid at check-in.
Cost £17.50 each. All we wanted was cereal and a pastry. No reduced cost for continental only.
Heating not working on arrival. When queried told came on at 6pm. It didn't. Complained again and then told maintenance working on it. We were offered a portable radiator which worked short term.
Eating in bar expensive and poor value.
Parking is not easy close to entrance. Very busy.
Will not be staying again. "
"We booked the Moxy having found it to be one of the cheaper and affordable options available for our stay in Bristol to see The Greatest Showman at The Bristol Hippodrome. We had also heard good things about Moxy as a chain from videos of Rory Sutherland, and it didn't disappoint! The bed is on a parr with Premier Inn for comfort, with a powerful shower and provided toiletries. When you enter the room, the TV is switched on and has a welcome message addressed specifically to you as the lead booker, which is a nice personal touch. The TV also has YouTube under 'Internet TV', and a 'Connect Your Device' option where using Chromecast you can use any of your streaming services - and you don't need to pay any extra for a 'Premium WiFi' option to reliably stream! Staff were also available and happy to help late at night after we got in from dinner with a friend and needed help to troubleshoot an initial issue with the Chromecast - we didn't have to wait until the morning!
But the checking in at the bar and being offered a free cocktail upon check-in was a real highlight - we deferred our free cocktail til dinner before the show the following night and it was worth the wait - but be careful, as you can't taste the alcohol in the drink which can make it all too easy to be drunk pretty quickly if having more than one!
The bar was a lovely, the food delicious, and were we there longer we'd have invited friends or family local to Bristol to join us as it's a great calm social space!"
"Welcoming staff who were helpful and friendly. Of particular note are Bo at reception who quickly helped to resolve an issue upon arrival, and Alex the bar tender who was so friendly and great with his cocktail making skills! Good facilities and an excellent central location. Breakfast very good value. Thank you for a lovely stay. "
"The cleanliness was awful. The room smelt terrible, there was mold by the windows. The toilet had yellow stains. There was haur in the bath. Clothes were still left in the cupboard. The shower didnt ket you change the temperature.
The continektal breakfast consisted of cheese and ham.
Despite all this, the staff were lovely and the view was amazing.
The restaurant only had one member of staff, but she was super helpful."
"The affordability of the hotel made the trip possible.
Room is small but not squished and makes excellent use of space. Everything is very good quality.
Lots of lovely touches like wine and cheese at reception.
Very central so a great base to explore."
"Would not say it was worth the price looks to be an old school repurposed. Beds are not comfortable very springy. And layout was odd, not even a mini fridge in the room, TV was useless not able to play Netflix or YouTube nothing"
"This place is so adorable! Super accommodating staff and parking right up front for loading with long stay parking right around the corner. Also seems like a very fun, hip area right near a college, restaurants and river walks. :)"
If you're looking for something a little more offbeat than your standard hotel experience, a bed and breakfast could be a great option for your trip.
