Arctic City Hotel

"Arctic City Hotel has a perfect location in the heart of Rovaniemi center, easy to walk everywhere and about a ten minute walk to the wonderful Arktikum Museum and it's a lovely walk on scenic paths. The Staff is amazing and go out their way to assist you with any matters or inquiries in regards to bus travel, shop locations and restaurants. Definitely get the breakfast plan for your stay, it is well worth it and has an abundance of food choices and great coffee and berries. The rooms are cozy and definitely exhibit a bit of Lapland-ish character, they even give you the choice of not having your room turned over every day, this was good for me because I traveled alone, oh yeah, and just a few hundred feet from the hotel is a 24 hr. supermarket, so that's a huge plus too. I'll be coming back for sure next year. Kiitos to all the great Staff including the house cleaning staff."

"Enjoyed staying in the igloo. Staff very helpful. Used a great local taxi (arranged by reception) to get around as uber declined to pick us up. There’s not much to do in the immediate vicinity but easy to get to Santa village and town centre. We stayed when there was no snow and snow hotel was not built, so will return in the snowy season to see it."

"The room was small by American standards, but very comfortable. I slept well in the comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent. Only complaint was that the shower had a gap in the door and leaked water all over the bathroom floor. Not sure if this is the case in all the rooms, but was a problem in room 304."

"We loved having a sauna in our room and being able to see the northern lights from the roof top of the hotel. Very close to hiking/biking trails and the breakfast was the best one of our trip."
