"Stayed for 2 night with a baby and the staff couldn’t have been nicer! So helpful! Room all set up and baby cot was no problem for them. All the staff at breakfast were just amazing, and it was delicious. Room was warm and cosy, shower could do with new/cleaner grouting but that’s really nitpicking. 100% would recommend."

"Lovely hotel but rooms were a little tired and dated and the hallways leading to the rooms definitely needs a clean and revamp. Bed was comfortable but pillows were not that comfortable. Great location though."

"A fabulous hotel that goes the extra mile to make guests feel valued and comfortable. Extremely doggy friendly, with separate zones for guests unaccompanied by their 4 legged companions. Direct access to the beach, Ayshire Coastland Path further enhance the experience. I would definitely highly recommend The Waterside Hotel. Thank you"

"A really impressive building - we’ve passed by before and always hoped to stay here. The building is quirky and has so much going for it… probably several £££ million to bring it up to 4* standards, but the staff were super friendly and the room we were assigned was brilliant and had lovely views over the port. Also accommodated for our dog which was really appreciated. The restaurant served a great dinner too and the Scottish breakfast gave us a cracking start on our onward journey. Thank you !"
