8/10 Good

"Very convenient to an event at the Chicago Theater! Most comfortable bed / pillow combination and double paned windows helped for a great night sleep! Interesting layout with the bathroom in the middle of the space, but the shower felt great and the separate stall for the toilet is a nice feature. The lights were tricky to figure out and ended up getting woken up to a bright light after my husband couldn’t figure out how to turn them off. LOL Overall, great stay."

Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile

8/10 Good

"We enjoyed our stay, the hotel was clean and staff was helpful. The location is great but there not being a lobby at ground level felt annoying at times. It was such an ordeal to get down to the sky lobby and then catch a second elevator to get to ground level, especially because at times the elevators would stop at every floor. The breakfast was really good but I do wish they had water and coffee accessible in the early morning before it opened. I left my room so I didn’t wake my kids but the staff wouldn’t allow me to get a cup of water from the breakfast area even though there were cups and drinks available. Overall the stay was good and location of the hotel is great."

The Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel Chicago Loop

8/10 Good

"The property itself is very nice and has this allure to it. The room itself was basic and had everything that was needed. The tea time in the afternoon and coffee in the mornings was a nice touch. This would have been a five star review if it wasn't for my first interaction on property. I came in and asked a simple question of how to check in when the bellhop was walking to my car for my luggage and the other concierge was calling for Valle to park my car, when all I wanted to know was how to check in and could do everything else myself to avoid paying extra in tips and the $77 dollars for valle service instead of the lower cost for self park. It felt like am ambush and instead of asking me what I needed as a customer, I was met with not being able to say no to extra charges that I was not planning on."
