"Great motel in Franz Josef. The room was spacious and very clean. The shower was great and the bed was very comfortable. There is on site laundry and everyone who worked there was super nice. "

"There is native bush nearby, Haast is a part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. I have not seen a pool nor heard anyone talk about it. The room was tidy and quite clean. I found the man who helped us during check in and who works at the bar of the pub friendly and kind. Cleaning staff were using the vacuum cleaner before 8am, that was a bit early I found."

"The hotel is advertised with continental breakfast which was a BIG reason I chose it. Turns out they do not. It was 7pm and tiny coffee milk packets and no food for the kids in AM. Please correct your ad. "

"We stayed in Room 301 & it was perfect for our family of four adults. They had everything we needed to be comfortable. Rooms were clean, staff very accommodating & friendly & the location was close to everything you needed. I highly recommend this property & I'm picky!"

"The outside of the building is a stark contrast to the inside of the building, which was a relief. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was aesthetically pleasing but the food was very disappointing. It was the worst steak my husband said he has ever had. He is an ex-chef. Both of our meals were warm-cold. The male restaurant staff member was not very friendly and uniform was scruffy. Heating the plates and ensuring food arrives hot would go a long way to improving things. "
