Rustic Elegance with Year-Round Smoky Mountain View’s! 3 bedroom/3 bath + Loft with Reading/Office area. Perfect home to enjoy the Outdoors with Hot Tub on spacious deck plus Wood Burning fireplace! Gas Fireplace in Family Room, Washer/Dryer, SS Appliances, Hulu TV, High Speed Wireless Internet. New Central Heat and Air System, 2 car garage, Gas Grill with Large Outdoor Entertainment area, and covered deck with porch swing. FABULOUS views! 3,700 feet elevation. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms plus loft area! Just had tree trimming done to open up the view!

Recent Updates include new Outdoor Patio Furniture, Newly Stained Exterior, Updated USB plugs in Kitchen Island, New King Mattress in Master Suite. New Heating & Air Conditioning Unit installed in 2019. 800 thread count sheets in all bedrooms.
In 2020 ADDED NEW KITCHEN APPLIANCES AND NEWLY REPAVED DRIVEWAY.

1st Floor: Living Room with gas fireplace, Hulu TV/DVD/CD, Dining Room with seating for 8, Modern Kitchen with stainless steel appliances, Keurig coffee machine and kitchen island, Pantry, King Master suite with garden tub and separate walk-in shower with double vanities & brand new 40" HD TV.

2nd Floor: (Upstairs) Loft with reading area (plenty of reading for all ages!). Loft has brand new 55" HD, 5K flat screen TV. 2nd Queen bedroom with TV/DVD/CD, Twin window bed, Full bath with tub/shower combo.

3rd Floor: (downstairs) 3rd Queen bedroom suite with separate twin bed, Flat Screen TV. Full bath and tub/shower combo. Laundry closet with washer and dryer, 2 car garage. Access to downstairs porch & deck.

4 nights minimum:
Low Season April 1st - May 31st & September
$230 nightly - $1525 weekly

High Season June 1st - July 31st
$345 nightly - $2235 weekly

Mid-Season August & October 1st - Dec 31st (Thanksgiving & Christmas Included)
$305 nightly - $2025 weekly

11% tax will be applied to rent.
The Damage Protection of $50 is a required item that will be added to the reservation.

Firewood Notice: Not all wood-burning fireplaces will provide firewood at the property. We can have firewood delivered to the property per request, we offer 1/4 cord for $100 or 1/2 cord for $180. Please order ahead before your arrival.

The Smoky Mountain Retreat at Eagle’s Nest subdivision does not permit motorcycles or trailers on the mountain.

Beautiful Mountain House

The home was very comfortable and everything we expected. Be prepared to drive up some windy sleep curves that would be my only draw back. We are from Florida so it was scary for us. The layout of the home gave everyone privacy which was great. Beautiful sunset and lots of rocking chairs to enjoy.

Great cozy option

Spent four nights with our teens and dog for spring break. Hiked great smokies, blue ridge parkway, walked the lake junalaska (adorable area), ate in waynesville. Had a really great time bonding as a family; we were sad to leave ! Positives: view is great. You are a little set back with some trees in front of the hour but the views are lovely. Hot tub and fire pit set up are great. Stocked kitchen. Cozy and comfortable. Drive up mountain is intimidating first time but it’s paved and totally doable! Things we would change: the bear theme is taken to the next level. There were many items like stuffed animals bears all over the house that just leave the impression of being dust collectors. partly this is just person taste though. Also, given the amazing location on top of the mountain, the house is not build to maximize the view. It is generally dark as the deck is covered and the windows are better on the second level. Couldn’t see much from the kitchen and main downstairs family area. The deck is where you need to be to enjoy the views The pictures are very accurate.

Family Time

The owners have gone to great lengths to create a home away from home. This place was gorgeous and yet comfortable. It sincerely felt like walking into 'home'. The decorative bear details were throughout and such fun to note each one. We are a cooking family and this home's kitchen was fully stocked! There was nothing we didn't have. It was wonderful! We are also avid readers and there was an area upstairs perfectly suited for reading in comfort. The view was breathtaking...the sunsets...oh my! Bird feeders hanging from the deck with bird seed available so we could enjoy the sweet birds. There was firewood and kindling for the fabulous outdoor fireplace which we thoroughly enjoyed! The grill was cook ready with a full gas tank. All in all, we had the most amazing family time from cooking together in the kitchen to playing games around the coffee table with a fire glowing in the fireplace, to soaking in the hot tub on the brisk evenings with a fire crackling nearby and then sitting out around the fire other evenings just chatting and sharing each other's space. Theses owners didn't miss a detail. We fell in love with this place and have promised to return! Thank you so much for the opportunity to enjoy this lovely place. Many sweet memories were made that we will treasure for years to come. Until next time....The Volpe Clan

Beautiful cabin and View

Checking into our cabin was a breeze. The cabin was beautiful. All bedrooms were on separate floors with on suite bathrooms, which gave each couple complete privacy. The view was absolutely breathtaking. We cooked breakfast every morning and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils. I would definitely stay here again.

Dancing Bear rocks!

My family and I travel every year to the surrounding area & by far this is one of my favorite cabins. It is the first time I have considered going back to the same property again. Super clean & amazing view. Plenty of room & pet friendly. Thanks for a wonderful stay for my family. Looking forward to our next trip!

Better than the pictures

Great home with great views. The pictures do not do it justice. The outdoor fireplace and hot tub are awesome. Our kids loved the giant playground, playhouse and streams at the bottom of the mountain when you enter the community. Excellent.

Loved it!

We enjoyed the outside fireplace every chance we got! The views were spectacular. The inside was very comfortable and we enjoyed the gas fireplace as well. The house was perfect for our needs and we definitely recommend it!

Great secluded vacation spot

Cool location tucked back in the hills. The view from the porch was beautiful, and the nice rooms, kitchen, and hot tub made for a good vacation. I’d rent it again.

Three b.rooms & baths on 3 separate floors; great! Enough space to enjoy. Great kitchen.

Kithen amenities perfect. Bathrooms clean. Living areas more than enough for 10, we had 4. Beds comfortable. Outside hot tub and fireplace amazing. Very quiet top of the mountain. Driveway steep but manageable. Views beyond compare. It's definitely a 10 out of 10.

Beautiful and comfortable mountain house

My family and I loved our time at Dancing Bear. It was very clean and we loved all of the touches that made us feel at home! We especially enjoyed the deck! We spent most of our days in the Smoky Mountains. It was a bit of a drive, but we loved coming back to relax on the deck and enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub. There was plenty of room for us and we had everything we needed for the week.

Better than the pictures

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is well designed for a family gathering - all the bedrooms and bathrooms were private with a nice, open kitchen/dining room/living room to hang out together in. The hot tub and outdoor fireplace were thoroughly enjoyed - we suggest you have the firewood delivered. The kitchen was very well stocked - I think the only thing missing was a tablespoon measure... and bring Tupperware or plastic bags - but that’s it - everything else was waiting for us. The house seemed bigger and more well laid out than the pictures show. Great location - very steep hills getting to the house but our SUV handled them fine. We’d all stay here again.

Dancing Bear Lodge

The property was beautiful! The cabin is situated in a position that provides privacy and seclusion, while just minutes away from downtown Maggie Valley. The cabin was clean and comfortable, it has plenty of kitchen appliances and cookware to make cooking easy and with a great view. The upstairs bedrooms view of the valley below was extremely picturesque. We didn't want to leave the cabin the whole week we were there. We can't wait to go back again next spring and fall.
