"The location of the hotel is perfect, nestled between the historical sites for those wanting to learn a little more about Japan's history and the mall for avid shoppers. The weather in Sendai is beautiful in August...I was pleasantly surprised given this is one of the hottest month in Japan. Trees, thank goodness for this city of trees - bringing one closer to nature. Everywhere we walked, nature sounds were intense, so easy to forget this sound when one has spent too much time in the city.
The hotel is beautiful and gave off the air of old European style, very easy to get lost in this hotel. The attendants to the front door personnel to the housekeeper were very kind and pleasant to speak. The rooms were very clean and provided necessary amenities such as toothbrush, wash towel, and facial care packet. I think the only thing that would be hopeful for female guests an extra towel for hair care (i.e drying) is helpful. Otherwise, the staff were very helpful and efficient.
Breakfast at the hotel was delicious, offering a variety from Eastern (Japanese) cuisine to Western choices. I think the only suggestion for Sendai is possible offer some meat/beef options aside from the beef tongue stew which is delicious but a little more selection would be delightful.
Otherwise, Sendai is a perfect hidden gem of Japan that is worth visiting."
