The location was very close to all the historical sites within mostly 5 miles. Very quiet and safe place. I would highly recommend staying here! Very clean!
Perfect location for exploring DC. Easy walking distance to U St, AdMo, and Dupont. Super quiet and safe neighborhood. Apartment suited our needs perfectly with plenty of space, washer/dryer, full kitchen, and comfortable living room. Bathroom is a bit tight for two women and all of our trappings, but very manageable.
This unit was convenient and nicely outfitted. Cool neighborhood close to public transportation with parking, too. Host could not have been nicer or easier to communicate with. Would definitely choose this VRBO again or suggest to friends and family.
A mat for the tub to prevent slipping. Note in description about Roku password to watch TV. The location was great, close to two different Metro station. Very clean! Kitchen was well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend. Thank you!!
We just returned from our short stay in DC. We only took two of our children (for their birthdays). This place was perfect for the four of us! We wanted a kitchen along with a washer and dryer, this gave us both! This does have stairs to walk up to the level and then down into the apartment. We walked over 20 miles both days that we were there, my legs barely worked each evening when we returned. I only mention this if you need a stairless option. The rooms were a good size, the closets were great! They even had fans for us. We did Door Dash dessert the first night. The location was so easy for deliveries! We are from the country and not used to the parking or city noise yet felt comfortable and at ease. The response from the host was immediate each time and they were very kind! If we made a return trip, I would seek out this same apartment for another stay.
This is a basement apartment located north of the Capital building. It is priced at an affordable value that was very appealing for my family vacation. It made it possible for us to stay a few extra days on vacation while also having access to cook our meals. We have allergies so having access to kitchen was important to our trip. It is notable as shown in the pictures the apartment does not currently offer an eating table and chairs, but that could change from the time I am writing this to your future stay. We did eat our meals in the living room area which served its purpose just fine. The photos of the apartment are accurate to the space. The apartment was cleaned very well including the bathroom and floors, and any wear of the apartment was normal wear through use over time.
The apartment is located in walking distance to different shopping options. A 10 minute walk south of the apartment there s a very nice Whole Foods grocery. A 15 minute walk north is a Target and "Giants" grocery store. Although I preferred the neighborhood south of the apartment vs. north of the apartment. Even though we mainly cooked there were a lot of nice restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating next to the apartment.
The apartment was a 10 minute drive to most attractions including the Pier. The only exception was Arlington Cemetery and the Jefferson monument which took a 15 minute drive. The apartment is directly located next to a bus stop and a 15 minute walk to the subway.
This is a basement apartment in a row house, which means all the rooms are along a hallway, front to back. Starting with the living room when you first enter the apartment, and then the 2 bedrooms, one after another, and the last room is the kitchen, which contains the washer/dryer.
Positives:
Beds are comfortable. Lighting is adequate. Kitchen has the various essentials cookware for light meals, though we didn't really make any more than salads or breakfast cereal. Keurig. Kitchen has large washer and dryer. Laundry detergent provided. Bathroom is basic and adequate.
Negatives:
Musty, moldy smell in the unit. Lots of mold on the brick to the right of the entry door.
Frequent "dhub, dhub" noises from the apartment above, disturbing late at night and starting at 4:30 AM every day! Probably a pet (one or more dogs) maybe playing with a bouncy ball or toy
NO kitchen table or chairs for eating. You have to eat on the couch in the living room, using the coffee table, so very inconvenient and awkward.
The esthetics are fair at best. There are major cracks in the floor along the length of hallway (this is a basement). Top hinge of 1st bedroom door is loose. Same door doesn't close all the way. Floor paint scratched/peeled off in many areas of the apartment. Bathroom vanity door off kilter. Bathroom fan hanging loose. Second bedroom threshold strip is loose, and has sharp screw heads that stick out.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was exactly as advertised and gave us a clean and quiet refuge from the busyness of the city. The location was great and it was easy to get to everywhere we needed. I would absolutely stay here again.
This was a charming place to stay and extremely comfortable for 3 adults. The parking was sometimes tricky but we always managed to find a spot. Plenty of dishes, pots and pans and towels. The dishwasher and washer & dryer were wonderful to have at our disposal. We would not hesitate to stay again. Excellent communication with the hosts.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
The doors need to be tighted and realigned so they all open and close. There is a pressure problem in the bathroom. The rest was good
The property is a cute row house located in a decent area of town. Owners are very responsive to communication. Would recommend to anyone interested in visiting DC.
The apartment was clean and in a quiet neighborhood with free on-street parking. It was about a 15 minute walk to the Metro station we needed for our conference, which was perfect.
