"I traveled with my family of four, and Arlo checked off all the boxes for our one-night stay: helpful staff, clean and spacious room, all the amenities, and super easy walking distance to Capital One arena for a concert. My girls thought the hotel looked "fancy" - and for the very reasonable rate we paid, that was a bonus!"
"Really great location. The hotel was quirky which i loved. The room felt very futuristic- you could control the blinds, lights and tv from a small tablet. You could dim the lights, change colours to fit your mood. Enjoyed playing with it.
Room was like a university dorm but perfect for a single traveller. I had enough space and for 2 nights it was fine. I might want a bigger space if i was travelling with someone or staying longer but for a quick visit it was absolutely fine.
There are no restaurants or bars nearby. It is quiet. But you are 10 min walk from national mall which is what mattered to me the most."
"This stay was wonderful! The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Our room was just right after a day of exploring DC. We only had breakfast one of our days and it was busy but the variety of food was great and the busyness only speaks to how good the breakfast was. I definitely recommend staying here. It’s a little further out from the DC landmarks so if you have a family plan on seeking transportation options for the sights but the hotel itself is close to great shops and great food options all within walking distance. I felt very safe and well cared for as a mom traveling with children."
"The issues that I encountered have been with Hotels.com aka Expedia. The hotel itself was amazing. Definitely a good experience, now I have to deal with Expedia who sold me a room that the hotel did not have available. The supervisor from hotel.com said she comped me an upgrade and it was a downgrade. Working in this field I know what they did and I will address it over the next few days. Kudos to the Operations/Asst GM who went above and beyond to help with these issues. Thank you, Jerry!!!"
"The location is excellent to proximity to key DC tourist sites. The hotel does charge additional "fees" that I was not aware of when originally booked and prepaid for. The "fees" are not the hotel's fault apparently they are city tourist fees. But unexpected.
The hotel staff was excellent and helpful with all the million questions I asked since it was my first time in DC. They accommodated some unique requests by my travel companions at all hours and we were extremely thankful.
The hotel restaurants are very pricey, but all the restaurants in that area are because of the location so be aware when budgeting. I would definitely stay there again."
