"We had a very pleasant stay after requesting we be moved to a less remote room with a better view. The staff was friendly, though we could not always get the information we needed. We were not on the all-inclusive plan and when we wanted a little breakfast we were told the dining room was only serving a buffet. We asked if we could order ala carte and were told we could get a bagel and coffee at the snack bar. Later we were told we could have ordered ala carte at the buffet. Be prepared for very high food prices. This is not only at the hotel, but due to the island having to import practically everything. We cut through the parking lot to make the easy walk to the Swizzle Inn, home of the original Swizzle rum drink (meh) that had very good food with entertainment. Prices there were a bit more reasonable than the hotel. There was also a highly -outed ice cream parlor across the street which we never got to try.
Our main concern with the Grotto Inn was that with the many steps on the pathways, the rustic railings were poorly maintained to the point where it was easy to get a splinter, and they wobbled considerably.
My wife said the Thai massage was reasonably priced and the best massage she has ever had! Add to this that it was set in a natural cave and it was a major highlight of her stay. The heated pool was heated just enough to take the edge off the cold. The natural grotto pool was lovely, but hard to exit as the ladder needs an extra rung for non-athletes."
"Had water leaking from the ceiling and mold and bugs in our room. Got moved to a temporary room for one day and told a permanent solution would be made the next day. We were finally given a new room around 6pm after being out of the temporary room by 9am. This hotel is run down and needs a major update. Tried to get a partial refund, but hotel refused to reply to Expedia. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. We were not the only ones to have room issues while we were there."
"All of the charm, beauty and hospitality I have ever experienced at other hotels in Bermuda is lost here at St. Regis. It doesn’t appear that they need or want your business but rather just expect it. I only stayed here on the last night of my 6 nights here as I wanted to see another area of the island but truly regret not staying where I was."
Amazing Property Close To Beaches/Golf Course/Railway Trails
10/10 Excellent
"Thomasina was a kind, friendly, and accommodating host. We had a comfortable stay and felt welcomed by her whole family. There was a lovely outdoor space to sit and hang beach towels. The interior was well maintained and had everything our group of 4 needed for our weeklong adventures. We loved our holiday at Thomasina’s!"
"Seven Arches exceeded my expectations! My family lives in Bermuda and I had to book a stay as we had a huge overflow for my Nephew's wedding at the family properties. I needed something that could comfortably accommodate two, just in case my Pops needed to crash with me. I ended up staying by myself and it was perfect. I could walk to the grocery store down the hill and get vigorous exercise to my beloved Warwick Long Bay. Loved the place since I was a kid!
The host was helpful and very accommodating. The place had great streaming for TV, good internet, and a little garden right outside to sit near my rental apartment, #2. I had double doors and lots of light. I really enjoyed my time at 7 Arches. I cannot wait for another great deal so I can 'sneak" into Bermuda for a few days without any family obligations."
"The staff was very nice and our room was beautiful. The weather was awful so that limited what we could do. The restaurant was very expensive and the food not very good. There’s really no beach either."
