"I never stayed there! The booking was made unintentionally when a "pop up" appeared asking me to 'confirm' my refusal to buy cancellation insurance for an extra charge. I pushed the 'confirm' button, then looked down for a moment, and when I looked back at the screen, I saw a "confirm" button still there. Thinking that my action had not registered, I pushed it again. This "confirm" was not a repete, but to "confirm" a booking at this Warren, Arkansas Hotel. I immediately realized what had happened, and called hotels.com customer service. The agent was extreemly helpful, and telephoned the management of this hotel in Warren to explain the situation, and ask them to release the pending charge to my credit card. The hotel management refused to release the charge, even after learning of the mistake, and despite the fact that I was 100's of miles away from Warren, Arkansas, and had no intention of going there. The message from the proprietor was, "Too bad.". Pure and simple greed, and a lack of human empathy. I don't know what the hotel is like. I have never been there, but if their service and hospitality is anything like their attitude towards customer satisfaction, I cannot support them, nor recommend this establishment for anything other than a thorough fleecing."
