"Lovely old pub to stay at. Plenty of parking. We were there Sunday night and they have limited menu for food (roasts, fish and chips or a burger) but what we had was really good. Shout out to Jill who seemed to be every where. Dealing with check in, serving behind the bar, taking orders at the table and delivering food to tables!!! Amazing!! And to top it off a really good breakfast to see you off. Highly recommended"

"I have stayed in five venues on my visit to Somerset over the past two weeks and this Hotel has been the best in many ways . It has been the most friendly and personal with an exceptional welcome by team members especially Vicky and Pat . The Hotel is centrally located in Market Place which makes it easy to travel to other towns in the county either by car or good bus connections . "The pub is an old building, therefore there are things that cannot be changed, so if you are a light sleeper and cannot use ear plugs this may not be for you. It was not an issue for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, we had one evening meal there, breakfast was perfect, they were very accommodating by tweaking the menu to what you prefer. Very close to the caves and gorge, easy to access other attractions."
