"The lady who checked me in was excellent, very courteous and helpful. Amenities were very good, and room was clean. Bed was comfortable, my pillow was too soft, but that is a personal observation and choice.
Overall an excellent choice!!"

"The room in the lodge was clean and comfortable. It is a little worn in places, but everything worked. The room was a little small, like a caravan bedroom, but fine for us. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the food was nice. There was just continental breakfast to choose from in the morning, but there was plenty and it was nice food. We ate in the restaurant twice, the food was lovely, enough choices and definately value for money compared to others in the local area. Especially if you choose from the set menu. The local setting was beautiful. We didn't walk into bath but used the local bus, leaving our car in the car park. Ensure you read the terms and conditions re paying the deposit for your stay on arrival and also the £10 per stay car parking fee. For our 3 night stay, this was fine. We found that the sat nav kept trying to take us over the toll bridge even when chose, avoid tolls, so beware to check the direction maps is taking you, if you don't want to pay the charge. You can park on the main road for free if prefer."
"Lovely hotel in a wonderful location. Don't be put off by it's roadside position. The rooms are located at the rear of the hotel, with stunning views overlooking the river and Abbey. Our room had french doors out on to the riverside. Super friendly and courteous staff. Look forward to staying again"
"The property was in good condition and clean. The only negative thing that was noticeable is that there were not enough proper tables and chairs where the height was proportionate. The majority of chairs were actually sofas and pouffés which were very low compared to the tables. Other than that, the stay was very enjoyable and we would go again."
"We recently stayed for two nights and overall had a really pleasant experience.
On arrival, we were warmly welcomed and offered a complimentary drink each, which was a lovely touch. Our room was ready ahead of the standard check-in time, which made things much easier. The room itself was clean and well-presented, as well as the bathroom and shower area. The beds were also very comfortable, making for a good night’s sleep.
We made use of the leisure facilities, including the swimming pool and sauna, both of which were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the steam room was out of order during our stay, and the showers in the changing rooms weren’t working either. This meant having to go back into the pool area to use the showers, which was a bit inconvenient.
In the evening, we spent some time in the bar area, which had a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful.
The location is excellent right in the centre of Bath and just a few minutes’ walk from the Roman Baths, making it ideal for exploring the city.
Parking is a bit less convenient. You can pull up outside the hotel to unload, but it’s only a short-stay bay. The recommended option is Charlotte Street Car Park, which is about an 8-minute walk away. It’s not too far, but it is an open car park. We paid £68 for our stay, as it had to be booked across three days, which felt quite expensive on top of an already pricey weekend.
We didn’t eat at the hotel as breakfast seemed a bit steep in price"
"Was a lovely hotel. Unfortunately woken at 5am by very noisy team delivering what looked like linen or bedding in metal cages. Don’t get the poached eggs though. Mine were filled with water somwhow"
"Great location and nice hotel but not a 5 star. The concierge and doorman were the best staff members, very helpful and nice but others we interacted with were not great, especially in the bar and restaurant. The spa and thermal waters were nice but very crowded. "
"The location of this hotel is GREAT. Everything is walkable. We selected a rate offered on Expedia that included valet parking(convenience) and buffet breakfast (excellent). We booked “premium king” which is NOT a Canadian or American King size bed. It is more like a queen. I learned that you really need to book a TWIN bed room. Then ask them to “zip” the 2 twin beds together. Also be careful when you check out, we had prepaid on Expedia (3 months prior when I booked) but the booking didn’t show this and they wanted to charge me.I had my receipt indicating PAID and this took a number of calls and digging and explaining from their side. BE CAREFUL. The reception staff were friendly sorting this out. I just found it fishy. "
