"This property was off the beaten path of a small town that has very little to offer for travelers and we were told by locals the town was unsafe. This property had great people working at the security gate. Check in was difficult and not in line with the information given to us by the host. We were told to go to the office between 9-5 to get a parking permit but security indicated a paperwork authorization was not yet received by the host. Our check in was at 4 so we had to come back and wait...

"Room was very nice . The vie w was awesome. Nice quite no one bothered you. Security was very nice to see there. There is a bus stop there if you don’t have a car. It’s peaceful and beautiful."

"The host communicated quickly & clearly - we appreciate that! The place was as described- clean, comfortable, secure, & in a pleasant gated community in the beautiful Makaha Valley.. "

It is bright and decorated so amazing. They have so much stuff available for you, we absolutely loved our stay. The AC units were a huge plus because it was very warm. The pool is amazing and so is the gym! We used both. The neighborhood is active and everyone is friendly and kind. The house was clean and bug free. It is well...

"Absolutely beautiful little oasis! Our favorite was lounging in the heated pool, listening to the waves crash, and watching the sunset turn into a bright starry night. Can’t do that just anywhere!"

"Absolutely loved the place! Would definitely come back- the hosts outdid themselves. Everything was accounted for that we could possibly need! Can’t wait to come back. "

"Our stay at The Makaha Shaka! was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful, peaceful, and well‑kept the property was. The villa is exactly as pictured, spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with every detail clearly created to make guests feel at home. The outdoor space is a dream. Waking up to mountain views, relaxing in the lounge area, and enjoying the pool and hot tub made every day feel like a private resort experience. The...
