"The hosts were very quick to reply to any questions/requests, even dropping off an extension cord we requested. A tree had fallen over across the dock, but the owners removed it within a couple hours. Using the kayaks was one of the main reasons we rented the place, so we really appreciated how quickly they provided access to the dock. It takes less than a minute to walk along the trail from the cabin to the dock. Life jackets are even provided. The kitchen is very well stocked of small appliances, utensils, food wrap, etc. There is nothing that we wished we would have brought in that regard. You will have to bring some food staples, such as sugar, salt and pepper, olive oil for cooking, etc. The stairs to the bedroom upstairs are steep, but nothing that an able-bodied person can't handle. I am 55, and I slept upstairs. Going down them backwards is the easiest. There is a two piece bathroom upstairs, so that is very helpful in the middle of the night! Lots of places to eat in the area. We were there for a short time so we only ate out twice. Pineridge Golf Course has excellent food and deck, and The Iron Lady Saloon in Gainford has excellent food too and even has live bands sometimes. Both places are within a 5-10 min drive from the cabin. The only thing that could have been better/changed - and this is SO minor - were the fans. The main floor one is a large contractor fan, so SUPER loud, and the upstairs one provides almost no air flow. Other than that, this house is GREAT!"

"Excellent stay for myself my wife and three young girls . When I picture the quintessential generational cottage I see this cozy cottage , it did not disappoint. Such an inviting casual atmosphere where we all felt right at home.The lake indeed is a very short stroll and the boat house provided every possible floaty the girls desired and provided my wife lots of shade on three gorgeous days of sun. The large front porch gave us a beautiful view of the lake and a place to watch a thunderstorm roll by.This would be an beautiful cottage also on a cool autumn weekend.The hosts have made available every item you would find in your own home and then some , including the coffee and condiments. Would definitely request a stay here again , in any season."

"The house was amazing for us. Five bedrooms with comfy mattresses and top of the line linens. Full suite providing an extra living room and kitchen. Bunkhouse to accommodate the boys complete with a bathroom and sink area. Screen room with large table for board games and dining. Hot tub, private dock and ac. Best home we’ve visited for our annual fishing trip. Colette was fantastic to work with and we are coming again! You won’t be disappointed."

"What an incredible place for an adult getaway!From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. Check-in was quick and easy, and the house rules were clearly communicated and more than reasonable. It made for a stress-free start to our stay.The property itself was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, giving everyone plenty of room to relax. The kitchen was large, well-equipped, and perfect for preparing meals and gathering together.The absolute highlight was the view. It was stunning and provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. We also loved the abundance of seating, both inside and outside. Whether we were enjoying our morning coffee, visiting with friends, or simply taking in the scenery, there was always a comfortable spot to sit and unwind.While the water is not drinkable, the hosts provided more than enough bottled water for our group, which was greatly appreciated and showed their attention to guest comfort.This property exceeded our expectations in every way. Clean, spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared for guests, it was the perfect place to relax and reconnect. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway."
