We were woken at 6.45am on a Sunday to the sound of scaffolders and a traffic management company setting up to commence install scaffolding at 7am on the building we are in with no prior communication from the host this would be happening otherwise I wouldn't have booked there. "Beautiful little cottage with a vintage chic vibe. Stunning views from both of the bedroom windows, although not from the garden as the hedge was too high.We really loved the location close to the river with easy access to cafes and lovely walks along the beach and tow paths. The beds and sofas were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We enjoyed a very chilled and relaxing 4 days and would consider returning in the future."

"Old Carriage House converted into a wonderful apartment. We loved the location of this stay. We were just a short walk down from Colchester Castle and High Street, where we could find a wide range of pubs, restaurants, and shops. The city centre train station was just a short walk away as well. Thank you to our host for the awesome check-in and also for the lift to the "other" train station for our trip back into London. If we are ever in the Colchester area again, we will definitely stay...
