Nice place 30 minutes away from VB

We had a great stay. We came for a softball tournament and were pleased with the setup and accommodations. The owners made sure we had everything to have a great week including a beach supply closet. We will be back!

Renter beware….

The condo itself is spacious and modern. However, the building complex itself is disgustingly dirty. The place is over run with spiders, cobwebs and other bug infestations. The building is run down and shows signs of log term neglect. Pools were small and always overcrowded. Wouldn’t recommend any condo at The Sanctuary at False Cape!

Labor Day getaway

Perfect Labor Day weekend getaway at your place!! Way more space than we expected and loved it. First time staying at the condos and it was great!

Quiet Beach Getaway

Our stay at "Dolphins and Dunes" was very comfortable and very convenient to be oceanfront. There isn't much commercial on the 5 mile sandbridge stretch, so you'll need to do a 15/20 minute drive to get to major shopping. Not too far to main part of Virginia beach other. The apartment was a good size and was nice to be located next to a pool. The downers are that the pool can get crowded, there are a lot of mosquitos and biting insects (given the proximity to the wildlife refugee and because Sandbridge is essentially wetlands). The benefit of staying at Sanctuary complex is that two of the four restaurants/place to eat on the strip are located in the complex and across the street (Mexican Restaurant (Jose Tequilas) and an American Grill (Baja). For beach goers, it has a nice long stretch of beach that doesn't get too crowded like main part of Virginia beach and the water was pretty calm when we went there. For those who like to fish the Little Island Park pier is right next to the complex and is about 5-10 minute walk depending if you enter the pier from the parking lot or from walking down the beach. Overall, we had a good time and the property managers were very helpful and were proactive in making sure that we checked in okay.

Relaxing Beach Getaway!

Our stay in Sandbridge couldn't have been better! The condo had everything we needed and more. The decor was lovely, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were fabulous. Having access to the pools, bay, and beach within walking distance was amazing. It was awesome to give our kids some freedom to explore in such a safe family setting. Have a few restaurants in walking distance was also a nice treat. If you are looking for a lovely beach vacation, I would highly recommend these accommodations!

Great condo on the beach!

Clean, well-equipped condo with easy beach access. It had everything we needed. However, the combination door lock failed and locked us out one day. Fortunately the rental company reacted quickly and within about 30 minutes provided us with keys. A dead battery was the culprit. The unit also has very poor internet service. Not a problem except when trying to call the rental company about the door issue. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning.

Nice condo/ couldn’t use patio

The condo is clean, organized and huge. We were not allowed to use our outdoor patio or pool because the floor was being resurfaced. There was a big, yellow “caution” tape sign across our patio glass doors. We were also not allowed to use the pool or grills on the condo floor. The building is huge and you go through a maze to get anywhere. This did not add to the ambiance. We were not informed ahead of time of this problem

Nice & relaxing

This was a nice trip & great place to stay. I unfortunately the pools and pool bar etc were not open. Beach was cool - stayed over spring break. VA beach boardwalk is abt 25 min drive. Location at the end of road next to state park.

Lovely getaway

Nice, clean, comfortable, well appointed, modern condo. Wish we could have stayed longer. Super easy access to the beach. It's an interior condo, so not a lot of light (or cell service) but very convenient to the pool and grills if that's your thing. I imagine it's quite noisy in season. Was disappointed that the hot tubs were not open, though. Great kitchen for cooking which is good, as food delivery seemed spotty.

Great Getaway Spot!

With an easy check in process, we arrived at the Sanctuary after hours due to traffic on our way down from DC. Surprisingly spacious and well appointed, I was so thrilled at the amount of breathing room available in this well appointed condo! My kids didn't have to share a bed, adults got their own spaces, and many different lounging areas so we were not on top of one another. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook-in for the week (one of the adults is a chef, so this is big praise!) and we wanted for nothing as far as comforts went. I did have a small issue with cell signal adn wifi, but the office handled it immediately even when reported after hours. Being beachfront was key for our family, and the free fishing pier right next door was an unexpected bonus. Our family will absolutely stay here again!

Be Careful with this Property Manager

We didn't actually stay in this property because it was not available when we arrived. We were given another property to rent and that one ended up with dirty linens and garbage left behind. The third property we were given was beautiful and we enjoyed the stay. Location is great. Pool and pool deck were closed due to Covid but the beach was beautiful.

First time in Sandbridge

This was our family’s first time in Sandbridge. This condo was in the perfect location for us. It was right outside the pool and grills. There were bunk beds which the kids absolutely LOVED! Everything was clean! We will be booking this condo again next year for our vacation.

Great condo

There were 3 adults and 3 fifteen year olds and we all had an amazing time. The condo was very spacious and easily accommodated all of us. We made all of our breakfasts in the state of the art kitchen then ventured out for our other meals. The pool was right outside our back door and the beach was a few short steps away. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Property cleanliness

Upon arrival we discovered a condo that was dirty from the previous tenant and had not been cleaned properly. The floors were disgusting covered in sand and food crumbs and sticky with spills left from previous tenant. Additionally the place smelled like fish from what we assume was a fish fry from those before. The microwave was dirty and had food caked on the inside. The cutlery drawer had dirty utensils and it was evident this condo had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. The furniture had a layer of dust which was evident it had not been dusted. Their policy states you must exit the facility at 10am for addiitional "deep cleaning to ensure cleanliness" and one would assume this was an extra layer for covid concerns. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN! We spent the first 90+ minutes deep cleaning and bleaching the entire unit. There was no floor mopping supplies and the vacuum supplied didn't enable us to get the sand etc. off the floor. There was construction in the facility and we were greeted by a giant crane that meant multiple areas and sidewalks were blocked off to the beach. Due to COVID all amenitites on site were closed (understandably) but we received no communication prior on any of this. We contacted management and didnt receive a reply until later sunday evening (9pm?). We requested the facility be deep cleaned and floors mopped the following morning. Bright note the lady that arrived was very pleasant and helped us! This is a beautiful unit but frankly the overall experience was ruined when you arrive into a fried fish odor and dirty facility (especially in COVID)! Not how I expected to start my vacation.

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was not very clean with sand on countertops, couches, and in beds.

Good stay and nice condo. Pools weren’t open and there was some construction happening but a nice resort overall. Parking garage is very tight for large vehicles.
