  • Set in the Peneda-Gerês Park, in a quiet region surrounded by mountains, Casa Da Nóbrega offers all its visitors their due rest surrounded by the beautiful nature. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or a family vacation, our home has all the amenities you need for a dream vacation.
    This cozy and renovated house is located in Aboim da Nóbrega village, a mere 13 km from Vila Verde, 13 km from Ponte da Barca and 24 km from Braga city center.

    It is located in a quiet mountainous place with stunning landscapes where pleasant walks can always be done in the presence of numerous animals that share with us this little paradise.

    Casa da Nóbrega consists of 1 Double Room, Living and Dining Room (Sofa Bed, Fireplace, TV with Portuguese Freeview Channels), WC with shower and Equipped Kitchen (induction hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher) coffee maker, magic wand, dishes and kitchenware)

A cosy casa in beautifull area

Very friendly and communicative host. We felt welcomed as well by the host Filipe, as by his dogs. The fureplace is nice and enough wood for msking fire. Close enough for some nice rides to Peneda-Geres National Parc. Thanks for having us.

Truly a great introduction to life in norther mountains of Portugal.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at this beautiful home. What a location! Was like living on a farm. It was a great base to explore the surrounding area and there is a lot to explore! There is a lot of things to do even if you don’t want to drive, and as a bonus when going for a walk you might be accompanied by the hosts two dogs. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly.

Peaceful and beautiful

Lovely house with everything you need. Walks in wonderful surroundings from the doorstep. Great to meet the cows walking freely in the mountains and on the roads. The animals live a good life here! A great and place for relaxation. Quick response and good contact with the owners. Take it easy on the winding roads up and down to Ponte de Barca and other towns in the vicinity.

A visit with the cows

We had a lovely and relaxing stay in this very unique cottage in the country. We had some nice hikes in the area as well as several day trips, all within an hour of the cottage. Sandra was right next door and absolutely lovely. We tended to have a large lunch while out on our day trips and lighter picnics when retreating back in the evening. The photos show cows and there are plenty of them as well as wild horses. It was a unique experience and a nice break after visiting the city.

Beautiful rural area

You will truly get a taste of rural Portugal here! The old cottage was charming and clean. We enjoyed sitting on the outdoor chairs overlooking the valley and watching the cows and sheep being escorted home at the end of the day. We were able to cook a full meal in the kitchen and enjoy it at the outdoor table. I would note that, if you are hoping for a private experience, as the listing’s photos seem to suggest, you might be disappointed, as the hosts live 20-30 feet away in an adjacent house. And if you are seeking peace and quiet, I will note that the countryside at night was alive with the sound of barking dogs! Sandra was lovely and shared lots of information with us about where to eat and walk.

Lovely!!!

Even though it poured rain for our 3 days stay, we still had an amazing time. A little chilly but plenty of wood available for the wood fire. Comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, fast internet. No oven but hot plate works well. Parking right beside the house. Communication with the host was 5 star. Speaks absolutely fluent English. WhatsApp messaged back and forth with response times of just minutes. Best part of the stay were the 2 most friendliest dogs you’ll ever meet - they’ll even go hiking with you. Great trails and hiking roads right out the door. Would love to come back. Thank you for having us!

A cottage in the clouds.

This little cottage is exquisitely furnished and comfortable. A recent remodel has resulted in a modern and updated feel in a little rock cottage. Both interior and exterior walls are rock, while the kitchen includes upgrades like an induction cooktop. The bathroom shower is very well done with a clear glass enclosure, good water pressure and water runs as hot as you like. The wooden shutters on all the windows and on the door allow for complete darkness in the rooms (easy to catch up on sleep when you are still getting over the time change). The area is very rural, with cows, sheep and pigs in the area, and farmers moving them from fields to the barns in the morning and evening. Listening to the cows' bells and the gentle "baas" from the sheep are a small part of the bucolic atmosphere surrounding this wonderful little place. Felipe and Sandy are welcoming hosts and very attentive to any needs. We will recall our stay here with fondness, and will to return to this little Cottage in the Clouds.

Liebe- und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes kleines Häuschen mit allem was man braucht.Es liegt ruhig eingebettet in den Bergen und lädt zu Wanderungen oder Tagesausflügen in die reizvolle Umgebung (z.B. Porto) ein. Die Gastgeber sind äußerst freundlich, hilfsbereit und begrüßten uns mit einer Flasche Portwein als Geschenk. Die Kommunikation sowohl im Vorfeld als auch vor Ort lief völlig problemlos und schnell.

Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour, très revigorant. Merci à nos hôtes Philippe et son épouse pour ce moment délicieux. Nous connaissions la région pour y avoir déjà séjourné en 2023. Mais la localisation de la Casa da Nogrega nous a davantage immergée dans le paysage granitique en bordure du parc Peneda Gères. Blocs immenses, nature authentique, vaches et chevaux en semi liberté... Nous avons lâché prise, oublié notre quotidien. Deux compagnons à quatre pattes Lynda et Mangala, gardiens de la Casa, ont accompagné nos promenades et nous ont comblé de leur attention. La Casa offre l'essentiel pour un séjour de vacances réussi. La terrasse et la piscine permettent une vue sur la vallée de Nogrega. Aux heures les plus chaudes nous avons apprécié la cascade du village et les rives de la Lima à une quinzaine de km. Et l'océan qui n'est qu'à une heure en voiture... Nous sommes amateurs de VTT électrique, nous avons pu sillonner les nombreux chemins ruraux alentours et découvrir des lieux atypiques suggérés par nos hôtes. Ferien auf dem Land

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit. Toller Ausblick über die Landschaft. Die Tiere sind friedlich. Sogar die speziellen Kühe mit den großen Hörnern. Die beiden Hunde begleiten uns zum Spaziergang. Die Eigentümer wohnen auf dem Grundstück und sind hilfsbereit. Sie geben auch gern Ausflugstipps.

Parfait pour se ressourcer

Le cadre est vraiment magnifique, pleine nature, avec pour voisins les vaches et les moutons. Les propriétaires sont très gentils, le coin propose plusieurs petites randonnées sympathiques. La maison est petite mais soignée. Nous y avons passé un très bon séjour.

12 Tage zum Wandern

Wir hatten Glück mit dem Wetter und konnten 10 Wanderungen in der weiteren Umgebung machen. Wer täglich maximal 1h Autofahrt nicht scheut, kann von der Küste bis zum Hochland die volle Bandbreite dieser herrlichen Gegend kennenlernen. Nach der Rückkehr hat uns das schöne Haus ermöglicht, die Abende entspannt zu genießen. Draußen in Garten in der Essecke mit Grill, oder einfach nur um einen Portwein zu trinken. Das ländliche Umfeld ist toll, besonders wenn Abends das Vieh fast selbstständig zurückkehrt. 2 stürmische Regentage konnten wir auch mal gut im Haus überbrücken. Einfach nur empfehlenswert.

Urlaub in den Wolken

Wir hatten die Unterkunft kurzfristig gebucht ohne auf das Wetter zu achten und die Höhe. Das Haus liegt fast 600 Meter über dem Meer und dementsprechend waren wir in den Wolken. Wir hatten dann unseren Aufenthalt verkürzt. Das Haus selber ist aber sehr schön und urig gelegen. Die Gastgeber wohnen auf dem gleichen Grundstück ein Stück weiter oben und sind maximal entspannt, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei gutem Wetter wären wir sicher die ganze Zeit geblieben. Allerdings: Für eine Familie mit vier Leuten ist das Haus für längere Zeig ein wenig klein, weil man im Wohnzimmer die Schlafcouch aufbauen muss und es keine Waschmaschine gibt. Für wanderwillige Paare ist das Haus aber sehr schön und romantisch.

Natureza no estado puro...

Natureza no seu estado puro, livre e selvagem, trilhos para quem gosta de explorar e as paisagens parecem de postais para mais tarde recordar. A casa é muito bonita, bem decorada e aconchegante e bem localizada. Os anfitriões, o casal Filipe e Sandra, são formidáveis e bastante simpáticos e têem dicas muito úteis para os visitantes. Por fim, dizer que adorámos os queijinhos, o mel e a compota de amora; só faltou a visita á pedreira, mas concerteza ficará para uma próxima visita. Filipe e Sandra continuem assim e bem ajam.

A Casa da Nóbrega fica situada num contexto idílico, com a natureza bem próxima em todo o seu esplendor, incluindo uma variedade de animais rara de encontrar. Uma experiência especial que nos faz recordar histórias como a da Heidi, com a envolvente de paisagem e vida da montanha. Os anfitriões Filipe e Sandra tornaram em tudo a experiência inesquecível. Nature à l'état pure

Nous avons passé deux merveilleuses semaines à la "casa da nobrega" Je suis du Portugal mais je ne connaissais pas du tout l'endroit. Nous avons découvert des endroits magnifiques des paysages à couper le souffle, et en plus nous étions seuls, car le village n'est pas trop connu des touristes.. La maison est très belle, malgré sa petite taille elle est assez fonctionnelle. La piscine est grande et malgré qu'elle soit à côté de la maison des propriétaires on se sent à l'aise. Ils sont très discrets. Des personnes très sympathiques et ils nous ont conseillé les meilleures endroits à visiter. Pour la lessive je vous conseille le lav xpress à Ponte da Barça.. Je conseille vivement cette maison de vacances, la maison est fonctionnelle et très belle, les propriétaires 5⭐ et des endroits merveilleux. Les animaux sauvages, la nature, le calme.. quoi demander de plus? 🤩🤩

Away from it all, a little bit if heaven if the weather isn't perfect!

Excellent correspondence with the owner, clean and perfectly located cottage for the away from it all break. Endless walks and off road bike rides from the cottage. Lots of animals, cows, goats, sheep, dogs and horses wandering past, traditional farming all around. Easy car drive to Ponte d lima and other great places. Great place thank you

Prachtige landelijke omgeving

We hebben bijzonder genoten van de prachtige omgeving, waarin dit huisje ligt. De kuddes schapen en loslopende koeien liepen dagelijks langs de voortuin. Het voortreffelijke weer hielp ook enorm (het schijnt er ook wel dagen achtereen te kunnen regenen). Zwembad erbij was daarom ook heerlijk. Het is een mooi gebied om wandelingen te maken, maar houd wel rekening met continue klimmen en afdalen, dus behoorlijk zwaar. Er waren ook een paar minpuntjes. Zo was het gezin dat het huisje verhuurd óók aanwezig, in een huisje op 10 meter afstand. Wij hadden hier niet op gerekend en het was toch wel een beperking op onze privacy. Het waren overigens wel heel aardige mensen die veel wisten te vertellen over de streek. Verder bleek onze week in de nationale feestweek te vallen, waardoor 5 dagen lang vuurwerk klonk. Als je boekt, blijf dan dus buiten de datum van 15 augustus, tenzij je van feesten houdt. Tot slot: het is een prachtige plek in de bergen, maar het betekent dat alle voorzieningen ver weg in het dal zijn (gauw een half uur met de auto). Er is gelukkig wel een supermarkt in een plaatsje in de bergen (2,5 km afstand). Gezien de schoonheid van het landschap en het klein leuke berghuisje, kijken we met tevredenheid terug op onze vakantie in Casais de Vide.
