"Super family friendly property with pool and playground and even a small children’s play area in the lobby. Rooms were clean, but AC didn’t get very cold. We didn’t spend much time in the room, so I wasn’t too bothered by it. The tub is super high and difficult to get in and out of, but water worked well and although the bathrooms are a bit outdated, they appeared very clean. Staff was nice, food was good. I would stay here again."

"I’ve stayed at this hotel a couple of times now and it’s truly amazing. The style of the hotel, decor, bedrooms, pool deck - all amazing. The hotel is located in a lovely part of Gaia, short stroll up the river to the main bridge in Porto. It’s a special place for an amazing stay. Would highly recommend."

"I didn't use the pool or the gym, so I can't comment much on them. I did enter the gym and noticed lack of equipment. One guy was in there hogging up the one treadmill and bike. I think the hotel could use a refillable water station in the gym as well. Our room was very clean and the staff were hospitable. Everyone knew English well, at least to my knowledge. The hotel was located centrally to all the places we wanted to visit, so that was convenient. I wish I had a chance to visit the bar but I lacked enough time on my stay. However, I ate dinner at the restaurant in the lobby. The food was better than average and had to say decently priced as an American. Lastly, the best part of this hotel was the breakfast. If you can, add the breakfast into the price of your stay, its a well valued deal. The bread, pastries, and the freshly squeezed juices were exceptional. If you desire eggs and bacon/sausage, they had that too! I personally loved the gourmet coffee to help me wake up in the mornings."

"The hotel is gorgeous, with vintage and modern decorations. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony when we arrived, which was a lovely surprise. The room was absolutely fine in size, not massive, but I’m from London, so I know that European hotel rooms are generally small. The staff are very professional, in particular one of the young ladies who served the drinks by the pool in the afternoons and evenings, who was very funny, and attentive. Breakfast choice was plentiful, different fresh juices every day, fresh fruit, hot food and pastries. You could also order from a menu with omelettes, pancakes etc. The location is amazing, over on the Gaia side, about 200m from the main bridge, so we were in a perfect position for both Porto centre, and the port house side. The only criticisms I had were:The pool is very small; I was aware of this from the description and the photos when booking. It’s shallow, and perfect for just cooling off after a day of sightseeing. However, if there are families with kids, it is disruptive with splashing and screaming in a small space. There are only 8 seats, and at one point a family of 7 people had every seat. One afternoon, the hotel decided to do a model shoot in the pool, which meant we couldn’t use it, but didn’t say anything to any of the guests, they just arrived and started taking pictures. I would also check the schedule of WOW Porto nearby, as on Friday night they had a mass karaoke event until 1am and it was incredibly loud!"
