Arcozelo experience

There were several negatives to the enjoyment of our visit, including:1. There was no one there on May 25 to let us into the property. After a lot of time-wasting we managed to contact "Ribeiro", who in turn called a neighbor with a key to the property.2. The house and its contents were very old and urgently need modernizing. Specifically: - there were too few power points to charge all of our cel phones, tablets and laptops; - the bathroom and cupboard doors in the main suite do not close; - the communal bathroom upstairs emitted a foul smell all the time we were there; - there were cockroaches in the kitchen. 3. There is constant noisy road traffic past the front door of the property.4. There is a main railway line running next door to the property with frequent noisy trains.5. The adjoining house was being refurbished, with constant banging and drilling during working hours and noise from the cement mixer all the time we were there. We are disappointed with VRBO's quality control because none of the above problems were signalled in its description of the property, which was consequently misleading. We made the best of a bad job but should not have been required to. We feel we are entitled to a discount on what we paid for this property.

Séjour à proximité de Porto

Excellent séjour car pays et région Magnifiques ! Propriété bien située car en face de la mer comme indiqué mais petit bémol puisqu'également proche d'une voie ferrée. La piscine intérieure est très utile et fait bien le job, surtout pour les enfants. Dommage qu'il faille la nettoyer nous-même et s'occuper de la mise en route de la pompe! L'annonce en ligne ne précisait pas qu'il est impossible de garer une voiture à l'intérieur devant le garage, les clés du portail n'étant pas remises. 2 étages et un sèche linge étaient annonçés alors qu'en fait le 2ème étage est réservé au propriétaire et le sèche linge s'y trouve. 3 salles de bain annonçées bien que la 3ème est une douche-WC dans la "véranda" ou se trouve la piscine. Le propriétaire est cependant très facilement joignable au téléphone et nous avons pu trouver un arrangement rapidement pour le séche linge via la dame sur place qui s'occupe de remettre les clés. Celle-ci est d'ailleurs fort sympathique. La maison commence à dater et un prix moins élevé correspondrait mieux aux prestations offertes de notre point de vue.

Lieu très bruyant entre route et chemin de fer

Rien à voir avec l'annonce... Entre une route principale très fréquentée contrairement à ce que laisse penser la belle photo de l'annonce, et le chemin de fer qui roule 24/24. La belle terrasse est en fait une allée de garage de 2 mètres où le propriétaire gare sa voiture. Impossible d'y rester! Horriblement bruyant, électricité dangereuse par endroits, aménagement locatif très bas de gamme et incomplet par rapport à l'annonce. De plus le propriétaire nous appelle de France pour se plaindre du désordre laissé et de la maison que nous n'avons pas nettoyée, alors que nous avons payé 1 journée de nettoyage à 70 EUR! Maison à fuir, annonce trompeuse.

Dejligt feriehus

Det var en dejlig oplevelse at bo i huset. Der var rent. Huset er meget lydt, og vi blev desværre meget forstyrret af larmende håndværkere i nabohuset. Poolen i huset var ren og fin. Området er skønt ved vandet og en lille fiskerby med gode spisesteder. Desværre var både den skriftlige og mundtlige kommunikation med værten på fransk, hvilket vi ikke mestrede.

Très bonne location

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans cette maison typique proche de Porto. Les contacts avec le propriétaire ont été parfaits. La vue sur la mer depuis les chambres reste inoubliable.

Todo correcto, excepto que no es alquiler integro

Pues queríamos decir, que la limpieza fue muy justita y hubo dos cosas que no nos gustaron demasiado, una que se compartía una parte de la casa con el propietario, que supuestamente se iba o eso entendimos en dos días y se quedó toda la semana, y la plaza de garaje nos la quitaban cada dos por tres, así que eso deberían mejorarlo. Por lo demás todo correcto, casa muy bonita y vistas increíbles

Accueil très chaleureux de la famille Ribeiro

Très bon accueil à notre arrivée. La maison est tout à fait conforme à ce qu'on attendait : chambres spacieuses et fonctionnelles, décoration soignée et dans l'esprit portugais, tout ce qu'il faut pour 6-8 personnes. Grâce aux bons plans visites de Manuel nous avons pu découvrir Porto et ses environs. A recommander fortement.

Not quite what we expected... but a good week nonetheless!

Firstly, I'd like to say we had a lovely week at the house, which is in a great location for visiting Porto and the surrounding area without the need of a car. Just a 10min walk to the train station, and also right by the beach and boardwalk, which takes you north or south along the coast. If you have a car, parking is not a problem. The trains do run past the house and occasionally toot their horns, but the noise is not intrusive. The landlord is a warm and friendly chap who greeted us on arrival, and we muddled through a tour of the property despite no common language. It should be noted, he lives in the front two rooms of the property - this was not made clear prior to arrival, and may not suit everyone. As it was, this didn't bother us too much, however some evenings we were very aware of a washing machine/dryer running constantly, and raised voices were noted on one occasion! The house is spotlessly clean, however I would agree with a previous review, in that it is very cluttered - so many chairs, knick knacks and flower arrangements that had to be negotiated in order to make room for our belongings.. minimal decoration would be better for a rented property. The pool is cool and small, but perfect for a quick dip to cool down or for kids to play in. And the BBQ is more of an electric grill type thing, which is a shame. On the whole, I feel the house is priced a little high for what you get, but it suited our needs for the week.

Haus mit Pool am Strand war leider nicht das was wir erwartet haben

Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und konnten die Ferienwohnung sogar nachts beziehen, da unser Flug sehr spät war. Leider war die Kommunikation zwischen Vermieter und uns nicht möglich, da wir die Sprache nicht beherrschen. Das Haus sieht auf den ersten Blick einladend aus. Wir mussten aber kunstblumen und Dekorationen erst einmal zur Seite räumen, um eigene private Sachen ablegen zu können,da alles vollgestellt war. Leider gab es keine Grundausstattung an Lebensmitteln wie z. B. Gewürze oder Putzmittel spülmittel , 3 Geschirrspülertaps, mülltüten oder ähnliches. Dies mussten wir erstenmal alles einkaufen. Die Elektrogeräte waren schon sehr anfällig. Der Herd ging aus, wenn der Backofen und zwei Herdplatten an waren und die spülmaschine musste auch vorsichtig bedient werden. Die Toilette im Schlafraum war defekt (spülkasten). Das Wasser benötigte einige Zeit um warm zu werden. Der Pool war kalt und ein wenig verdreckt. Wäsche konnte nur auf dem Balkon getrocknet werden, da es sonst muffig roch. Steckdosen gab es in jedem Raum nur eine einzige. Für Handy, Laptop oder ähnliches musste man auf die Suche gehen,da gab es aber keine weiteren. Im Erdgeschoss gab es 28stühle. Mein Mann hätte sich über ein bequemes Sofa gefreut. Der Grill sollte nicht benutzt werden. Reger Zug und Straßenverkehr vorm Haus. Nach einer Woche waren wir auch wieder froh weiter zu reisen und glücklich darüber dass es nicht der Standart in portugal ist!!!Dieses Haus ist viel zu teuer und entspricht nicht dem Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Würde ich nicht weiterempfehlen!

Beautiful seaside residence near Porto

We really enjoyed our stay in this home. It’s an idyllic seaside residence located steps from the beach. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and professional. The home is actually larger than it looks. Four well appointed bedrooms upstairs with two bathrooms. The kitchen is a good size and so is the eating area. The pool is not heated but we had no problems. It is adequate size for kids to play in or just have a dip to cool off. There is also an outside bathroom and shower area beside the pool. There is a good waterfront restaurant called Neptune across the street on the beach side. A golf course also across the street. Our drive to downtown Porto from the home was 15 min.

Great location, 15 minutes out of Porto. Easy to travel to and from Porto by Uber (£15). 2 minutes from the beach. Lovely views of Portugal.

Villa à conseiller

Super accueil du propriétaire, villa très bien équipée, lave linge, lave vaisselle, piscine intérieure avec douche et toilette, de belles chambres très spacieuse très bonne literie, 2 restaurants à proximité, plage à 100 mètres, à conseiller pour de très bonnes vacances.
