"The room was ready on time and was really clean. The first night we had an issue with the a/c and they moved our room immediately and with no questions. The second room was as clean or cleaner than the first - just spotless. The GM is wonderful and very friendly and polite. This is our third stay at this location and all have been great. The property is worn and slightly rough to look at, but the staff and extra clean rooms out weight the overall look."

"The area is very beautiful and the house is very clean and roomy. We picked this place because it was dog friendly. It is a convenient location in between a few different popular swimming destinations. Definitely will be back."

"It was our first time at The Riv and my wife and kids absolutely loved it. We typically stay in Concan but are absolutely coming here from now on. Staff and other people staying were all friendly. Better being at a private location with your own amenities than being in a public area with everyone crowded. We will be back soon. -Utley family"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Treehouse Cabin! The cabin had plenty of space for our family of five and was clean and comfortable. My only regret was not taking more pictures. It’s tucked away in a quiet, secluded area, yet still close enough to Main Street for convenience. The property manager provided excellent communication throughout our stay. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, and we would definitely stay here again!"

"The house is dated but full of local history and completely functional. There are family pictures, articles and curios to ponder. My family loved the pool. 3 nice bedrooms downstairs and one upstairs with a mini-kitchen. We played ping-pong in the gameroom and cards. Outside there are several great spots to drink coffee in the morning and just observe nature.The host lives nearby and answers questions very fast. She has lots of information about the area.We hiked the Lost Maples Natural Area; drove through some of the twisted sisters hiway route; shopped in Leakey; ate at the Bent Rim Grill in Leakey.May go back in the fall when the foliage changes – after the first frost according to our host.It was a great visit!"

"Lightning Bug Springs property is beautiful! There’s always something to explore or play with, love that it got the family outside playing like kids again. The Lodge was amazing and very clean. We loved everything about it. Our favorite part was the back porch, sitting on the rocking chairs looking into the river trying to spot all the wildlife. Thank you so much!"
