"I just wanted to say our stay at timekeepers cottage was the best experience and holiday I have ever had. Myself my partner my son and my dog; perfect facility. Homely; amazing interior design and kitchen essentials where better than i have my self. Really clean; adored the stable door in the kitchen. Amazing lighting with adjustable levels of light and cool LED near stairs and living room area. The garden was beautiful and I named it the secret fairy garden! Also with a washing line clean...

"This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...

"The location and apartment were great! Unfortunately the beds were the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in - so lumpy and uneven we couldn't sleep for the 2 nights we were there. The sofa bed mattress was so thin you could feel the metal frame all night. The mattresses all need replacing!"

"Loved the secluded location within walking distance of the southern end of Lake Windmere. The cottage was smart and very clean, and well equipped, but we were stumpted on how to adjust the settings on the upmarket oven (a manual in kitchen drawer would have helped). We found that we had to be vigilant about the step in dark slate floor between bedrooms and kitchen/lounge (we used a bit of white cardboard to visually remind ourselves.) Had a great stay at The Bothy, we highly recommend it "

"We had a lovely few days in this quaint cottage. There is everything you need and very close to the village pub, where they let us park our car, as not really ideal outside the cottage. Will definitely return if we go back to the Lake Distruct."
