"My mother and I traveled from the U.S. and had a wonderful stay here. The Mt. Fuji view right in front of the hotel was breathtaking. The food was excellent, the room was very clean, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We also loved relaxing in the onsen. A beautiful and memorable stay with my mother. I would definitely come back!"

"A most excellent property and staff! Highly recommend - 5 ***** star rating. View of Fuji-San is amazing. Gardens and Koi pond are well maintained. Spacious room with plenty of storage for luggage, large closet, sofa and chair. Onsen and breakfast buffet are fantastic! Staff is very helpful and kind. Hourly Shuttle service to/from Kawaguchiko Station was very useful, 10 min away. Nabeya Japanese restaurant was delicious and only 3 min walk away."

"My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Wakakusa no Yado Maruei. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Everyone was kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. My wife is pregnant, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate her dietary needs. They were incredibly understanding and helped us with food substitutions and adjustments so that she could comfortably enjoy our traditional Japanese meals. Their kindness and attention to detail meant so much to us and made the experience even more special. Everything about our stay was amazing, from the beautiful room and relaxing bath to the delicious food and exceptional hospitality. We felt truly cared for throughout our visit. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan, and we will remember it for years to come. Thank you to everyone at Maruei for making our stay so special. We would absolutely love to return someday!"

"This is a good, economical hotel. It is 1 km away from Kawaguchiko station, very close to local bus stop. The hotel is very clean. The hotel appears older, but it is in good condition. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"The Hotel was very good for what it was… a dated 4 star theme park hotel. I booked the Mt Fuji view room but it was too cloudy to enjoy the view (no one’s fault) … the onsen was closed too which I might have missed a notification about. The room itself was well maintained, we had a sofa bed extended out for my daughter… so it was slightly cozy but comfortable. Importantly it was clean and everything worked like it should. We enjoyed the fact that it had private access to the Fuji Q theme park with discounted full-day passes. Staff were helpful, very good."
