"Waking up to the rising sun on the Bay was spectacular. So peaceful and rejuvenating. Make sure you checkout out Calvert Cliffs State Park too. You’ll get a workout on the multiple trails and a beautiful shoreline at the end to find some natural treasures!! Sunshine Cottage was well equipped and clean as a whistle. Beds were amazingly comfortable too. Hosts Rhett and Kay couldn’t be more responsive to inquiries. Overall great experience and would recommend for a lovely getaway. Thank you!! Sallie "

"the house was perfect! Jocelyn was a terrific host. She provided a welcome basket with cookies, materials for Smores. there are games, activities, beach toys, even bikes! The kitchen and entire house are well-appointed with absolutely everything you mighty need for a nice stay. Adorable interior decorating. Everything from bath towels to cookware are quite nice! The location is peaceful and quiet but you can hear the waves on the water from the open windows. Backyard had everything needed for family entertaining. We will definitely come back! Check in and check out were easy and flexible processes."

"Absolutely phenomenal time at this rental. It is SO difficult to find a good place that doesn't just allow dogs but is actively dog-friendly. We have two 45lb pups, one of whom is reactive so we need a fully fenced area for them to run around in. One of them also loves the water, so this is exactly what we were looking for. It was just the two of us and our dogs, so we felt a silly getting this big house with a separate rec area, but we are so glad we did. The house is beautiful and has obviously had a lot of care put into it. The location is stunning. It's so peaceful and quiet. The "pond" as they call it, essentially feels like you have your own private lake that connects to the river and then the Bay if you want. The little shore was a perfect little soft sandy stretch to easily get the watercraft in and out. We saw blue crab, lots of tiny fish, a heron across the way, and a pair of bald eagles while we were there. The bed was so comfy and I slept like a log since it was so quiet (normally I wear earplugs). The house is very well appointed with pantry stuffs - coffee, condiments, spices, lots of dishes and cookware. They left a goodie bag for us to make s'mores, which we took full advantage of. We had a bunch of old school video game tournaments and I got roundly beaten at pool several times. I legit have no complaints. I would buy this house in a heartbeat - and asked even though I *knew* there would be no way anyone would give up that property. Will return for sure."
