"I hate having to write reviews like this but wanted to be fair to other travelers. We booked this facility to attend an event for one night over the Memorial Day weekend. At $270 a night, and an overall rating of 8/10, we expected a clean well equipped room. What a suprise!! No hanging space available. Broken floor tile. A bathroom door that was rotted at the bottom and would not close. Bathroom fixtures from the 1950's with holes in the wall and tile grouting that was performed by an amature. A sewer smell coming from the tub drain (which had no stopper) and fixtures that needed serious attention. Covers missing from electrical outlets and outdoor furniture that looks like it had been around for years. The clerk at the front desk was pleasant and advised us that they only provided coffee in the morning (no breakfast). Parking in at a minimun so don't be suprised in you have to park offsite. Dont book this facility and run (don't walk) to another hotel. Very discusting and glad we were there only one night."

"This was a disappointing experience. There was no one to receive us, which required two calls to locate room and check on parking and breakfast. The room was very small and in the basement; there was no closet. The bedside lamps didn’t work. Pictures posted show a beautifully kept garden but plants were untidy and in need of attention, and dead leaves were piled in beds and walkways. The whole place felt run down but it was expensive! Owner is going through some personal problems which he carried into his work. His wife didn’t even acknowledge us at breakfast. Breakfast meals were only “okay” or worse, not what we expected in an expensive b&b. We will not stay here again and will dissuade others from doing so."

"I love the retro/beach vibe of the motel. The lovely lady that checked me in was so nice & accommodating. The room was very clean. I also loved that there was a pool on the property & the beach was within walking distance. I will definitely return again. "

Sandcastle Inn

"It was one of the best hotels in the area that's for sure!!! Centrally located with everything around it, the sting ray across the street the tryler park restaurant nextdoor and the breakfast club at the end of the block were great but everything is right around it with in a few minute walk. Don't forget Jason at the daiquiri bar which was amazing too. Also can't forget Halo at the Pier 16 restaurant what a meal and great service. The beach is literally right behind the hotel less than 10 minutes to a perfect spot. The Hotel was nice very retro needed a little work but we all do lmao, the pool was great especially being open until 10 so you could do some night swimming and our room was great the bed was comfortable, they gave us enough pillows which I'm always concerned about, the shower was odd and took some getting used too. Overall it was a great stay and I recommend it to anyone."

"Found a doritos, underneath the chair in my room, from the people before us crumbs everywhere.Whoever cleaned that room did not do a very good job."

"Our vacation in Savannah and Tybee Island was absolutely wonderful. Savannah is full of charm, beautiful historic streets, amazing architecture, and warm Southern hospitality. Walking under the oak trees covered with Spanish moss felt like stepping into another world. Tybee Island was the perfect place to relax — clean beaches, fresh ocean air, stunning sunsets, and a peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed long walks on the beach, delicious seafood, and the calming sound of the waves every evening. This trip gave us the perfect combination of history, nature, and relaxation. We left with beautiful memories and would gladly come back again. Highly recommend Savannah and Tybee Island for anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable vacation!"
