"This hotel/restaurant was in a little village that was absolutely gorgeous. The area had several hiking paths which unfortunately we could not go on. For us it was a thrill to be in this town and the diner they cooked for us was exquisite. Home made. The host/manager was very good, cordial and very welcoming. I highly recommend this place. "

"We received very personal attention during our stay. The staff had sent me an email requesting what time we were going to arrive but since I didn't have a signal I was not able to respond. Even though we arrived late we were welcomed very warmly by the staff. They also prepared us dinner upon arrival."

"Staying at Giovanni and his uncle’s beautifully restored 16th-century palazzo was nothing short of enchanting. The moment I stepped inside, I felt transported—historic charm blended seamlessly with modern comfort, and every detail reflected the care and passion they’ve poured into this boutique hotel.
The location couldn’t be more perfect: right in the heart of Tivoli, just steps away from its stunning villas, gardens, and charming streets. It made exploring the town effortless and enjoyable.
Each morning began with a delightful breakfast, thoughtfully prepared and served with warmth. The freshness and variety were impressive, and it was the perfect start to our days of sightseeing.
Giovanni was an exceptional host—attentive, welcoming, and always ready with great recommendations. His hospitality truly made the experience unforgettable.
If you’re visiting Tivoli and want a stay that feels both luxurious and authentically Italian, this palazzo is an absolute gem. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

"Clean and nicely decorated room. Slippers and toiletries provided. I did have the impression that this was an apartment with a kitchenette. No, it’s just a room. The shared kitchen is upstairs. Also you are not allowed to have food or drink in the room. So if you want a cup of tea/coffee, or food, it has to be upstairs in the kitchen. Very inconvenient. No cup of tea relaxing in your pyjamas.
The room is a 10 minute walk from the station and well located in town and for Villa D’Este. A short bus ride to Hadrians Villa"
"What a fantastic villa!Andrea & his father made check-in smooth and simple, the place was super-super clean, with everything in great condition.Big rooms, comfy furniture, a well-equipped kitchen, log fire with a nearby wood seller, central heating in the whole house plus good aircon in every room for the summer!Very secluded and private, right opposite a simply beautiful ancient little abbey that's open at the weekends. With Rome under an hour away and the stunning historic town of Tivoli just 35 mins out, it's a perfect location to relax or go sightseeing.Tivoli boasts three magnificent ancient sites, the villas of Hardian, Gregoriana and D'Este, all breathtaking to visit and parking in town (or on site at Hadrian's villa) is just 3 for the day, lovely to see them welcoming visitors and not trying to rip them off with exorbitant parking fees!Local restaurants are very good, but some need booking up to 2 days in advance, although there are several that are walk-ins.Eating out in Sabina Palombara itself isn't so easy, as there is virtually nowhere to park and the streets are very tight for cars, but look around the wider area, especially Ristorante La Sabina Romana, just 10 mins drive away, wonderful service and food (no telephone, internet or pre-booking though)! The villa itself is bright and spacious, it has lovely gardens and we had such a wonderful week, would recommend to anyone and we will go back if we are in Italy again, it's a fabulous place."
Elegant, well connected with private pool. With views over Tivoli Villa Adriana
10/10 Excellent
"This huge elegant house is a remarkable place to stay, the opposite of a bland holiday villa, it has cool marble floors & frescoes but somehow doesn’t take itself too seriously. We have 8 children between ages 2 to 16 and we were swallowed up in the massive rooms. All of the children enjoyed it: the pool, the massive basement playroom and billiard table, the great stone fireplace where we lit a fire one cooler evening in October. The host Lucia was extremely kind to us although we arrived very late because of heavy traffic and losing our way, and was readily helpful but respectful of our privacy during our stay. The enchanted fountains of the Villa d’Este or the Villa Adriana are a short drive, and Rome centre can be reached easily in under an hour by driving to the end of line B and taking the Metro at Rebibbia. This is in our opinion very definitely superb value for a larger group or family such as ours, who have a car to get around. We will remember the villa as a fascinating character whom we met on the holiday."
"The place was nice enough. It was clean. It’s a long walk from the train station though. There are no taxi’s here, you have to walk. Turn LEFT out the station and over the walk-bridge over the river then up the maIn road. Don’t go through old town - suitcases don’t do well on cobblestones. "
