We went to this hotel because it was convenient for my husbands high school reunion. We had a great stay and there are several nice restaurants in the area to get breakfast and dinner. Everyone that worked there was very helpful with anything that we needed. We will stay there again.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. I will say the back entrance could use some work it looks like at some point someone threw an egg at the wall by the stairs and it’s dried on the walls and the back door does not lock.

Very convenient location right off the highway but not loud. There is not too much locally for dining. However, Syracuse was only 20 minutes up the road in Cortland was only about 20 minutes.. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, but the site could use a facelift overall. Area was safe and staff very nice.

It’s a bed to sleep in. Don’t count on the breakfast before you go. The waffle mix is so watery it won’t make any. Maybe if you got up at 7 when it’s served it will be better. We tried one of the microwave sandwiches as I usually like those but the microwave they give in the dining area isn’t the type you can set to defrost for 30 seconds then repeat then set at a power for 60 seconds to cook. So it definitely isn’t great. There is a local cafe close I think it’s flourish farms. Very cute and affordable. Don’t let the outside get to ya. Inside it’s cute and clean. Outside just looks plain. Bed was good and room was clean. Water was hot fast and shower was refreshing

Comfortable for the night

The bed was comfortable with 4 pillows on king bed. There were plenty of towels. The water pressure was great with lots of hot water. We liked the room arrangement where the shower and toilet are separate from sink area. There was plenty of parking and the area was quiet. Complaints are the bathroom fan was very loud and the A/C unit didn't keep up. We like to sleep cold. We had it set at 66F and it did not get down to the temperature set. We were in room 117.

The hotel is in a good location and the staff we encountered was friendly, professional, and kind. However, there are problems. We reserved a pet friendly room and paid the additional $23 to get one of the pet-specific rooms, which seems like a good idea, but the reality is that our room absolutely reeked of stale cigarette/cigar smoke, so reserving a "special" room didn't seem to protect us from that. Also, the air conditioner in the room did not work properly - the fan only ran occasionally (and we tried all of the settings - Auto, High, and Low) and the room never cooled down so sleeping was miserable. And finally, the fan in the bathroom rattles so much that I did not use the fan when I showered because I was certain it was loud enough to wake the neighbors. I was also told my Choice Privileges member number would automatically be added to my reservation, but when I received my final receipt for the $23 for the pet fee, it said that was not enough money spent for my stay to be counted. I assume that since I booked it through Expedia, I will need to go back to manually enter it later. For a one night stay, this property was fine. But since we didn't feel we could be moved since there is a limited number of pet-friendly rooms, we were miserable sleeping in the heat of the room, even though the temperature overnight outside was not that hot, but we couldn't open the windows.
