"I want it known that Dennis and Annette were the most gracious hosts. What happened during our stay could have happened to anyone. We were also the first guests of their 2026 season. We did have four small mice who decided to crash our stay. Dennis and Annette handled it as best they could to help remove the little critters. We had more trouble with Vrbo customer service than the hosts. Our experience with Vrbo customer service was some of the worst customer service I have ever had. They told me that in order to help us at all we had to wait 5 hours for the hosts. At the beginning of the call I had let the Vrbo Representative that the hosts were out of town and not available to help with the mice situation at the time. The representative was not willing to help us at all. No offer to rectify the situation, nothing. The hosts came by when they got home from their trip and apologized and personally compensated us for the mice. But Vrbo could have done better as a company. Please do not let the mice incident off put you to this rental, the view is amazing, overall it was comfortable and welcoming! My partner caught so many fish off the dock. I know you will enjoy it as much as we did."

Beautiful Teeny Tiny Cottage On Lake Eden, directly on the water front

"Very cool place! The lake and stars are beautiful. I recommend going for a walk on the gravel road, we saw loons and a beaver swimming.The owner gives very thorough instructions and there are signs posted to help visitors know what to do. Safety is also considered as there are two ring cameras on both doors of the residence facing towards the entrance and the dock.The toilet is something to consider, especially if you are sensitive to smoke smells. However, everything worked as described. The toilet was actually easier to use than it seemed.Overall, it was a unique and functional place in a gorgeous setting."

Fabulous All-Season Lakehouse, 600' Lakefront, Lake Eden Vermont

"The lake Eden cottage is well kept and has everything that you need. It is a serene spot with water surrounding 3 sides. The cottage has numerous windows offering a great deal of light. It is located on a quiet road and the only traffic is from other residents. Communication with James was easy and he did get back to us in a timely basis.The only problem that we had was the comfort of the furniture. The main living area is rattan furniture with ill fitting cushions and an old futon with an old mattress. One bedroom is advertised as a queen and it looks to be more the size of a full bed. I do not wish to discredit the property, because it is a special place. I just feel that this should be mentioned giving you an awareness."

"John is a great host and super easy to communicate with. His cottage is perfect for me and my dog to explore the great outdoors in the Craftsbury-Greenboro area. The cottage is also very close to two great general stores, the Genny in Craftsbury and Willey’s in Greensboro. The cottage has all the amenities you need to stay as long as you want and also has a great yard just to hang outside and play with your dog."

"Everything was perfect and exactly as described! Very well-equipped kitchen. It rained for most of our stay so we weren't able to get outside much, but loved watching a loon and osprey from the porch."
