"Nice and cozy rooms in the middle of nothing, just you and the silence broken by some very faint cowbells coming from the landscape, place is very realxing!!! On the front, there's some convenient tables and chairs to enjoy the pleasant scenery. "This was the perfect way to visit the Picos de Europa, Bulnes, and the Cares Gorge. A small parking lot for hotel guests and a SUPER helpful staff makes this place an obvious choice with the perfect location for a visit to this area. The breakfast and dinner downstairs are also delicious with delightful service. They have a cute gift shop, too."

"I travelled to the hotel on a motorcycle through mountain roads in the hope of seeing the total solar eclipse on 12th August. The place impressed from the start, Welcoming receptionist and an aesthetic vibe unlike anywhere I've stayed, and the room merited the superior' tag - with a sumptuous bathroom, offering an unprecedented (for me) shower experience. Wonderful after the effort of getting there. A multinational group of guests enhanced the sense of being somewhere very special. The view on arrival evening was sunny and sublime, but alas a change of wind direction, as forecast, resulted in us being enveloped in cloud almost all the following day, including during the eclipse. Breakfast was freshly prepared and provided a wonderful selection of savoury and sweet, including fresh fruits. A heavy cold confined me to the immediate vicinity after walking down into Villaviciosa for food and some drink as the bar service was closed due to the staff being limited on eclipse evening, but our in-room refrigerators were kindly stocked with drinks to compensate. I wish, on reflection, that I had stayed a third night, not only because of the cold symptoms, but because it was such a relaxing setting. Another year, also, I would not choose months other than August for visiting the area again. Visit again I will, though!"

Hotel Silken La Hacienda de Don Juan

"Great location for visiting Llanes. It's an easy walk for about five minutes to the centre of the town. Parking on the premises is good with an added bonus of some places being under a cover. Room was clean and good size with a massive terrace with sun lounges, table and chairs on. Good breakfast (€15 pp) with selection of hot food, cold cuts of cheeses and meat, yogurt, fruit and pastry etc. No noise any time of the day from inside or outside. There was a large fan in the room, but an air con would have been really great. Large bathroom with a shower; unfortunately no ventilation so it can get steamy."
