"We had stayed here before some years ago and like to stay at properties with some history, like this collection of log cabins on the National Register of Historic Places and the oldest lodging in Pinedale. The cabin was cozy but note the bathroom is in one of the bedrooms which might be a turnoff for some. The hosts left oatmeal, coffee and cocoa packets (but only two and there were four of us). Only negatives were a smelly shower curtain and less then ideal cleanliness in the bathroom, and the kitchen sink strainer was nasty. Pinedale is just about 90 minutes (and a lot cheaper for everything from gas to food to lodging) south of hyperexpensive Jackson, so it makes for a good stop on the way to or from Jackson and Grand Teton and Yellowstone NPs to the north. Also, there are beautiful lakes in the nearby national forest, abundant wildlife (we saw a doe mule deer and fawn right outside our cabin), and opportunities for water sports, hunting, fishing, birding, and hiking very nearby and much less crowded than the national parks."

"Absolutely loved this home!Perfect for my girls group of 5.Kitchen had every imaginable small appliance plus two ovens.Plenty of glassware, flatware, and serving pieces. All types of coffee makers including a French press.Beds were very comfortable and sheets, comforters, and towels were all high quality. Furnishings clearly reflect Heidi’s background as an interior designer.Hosts, John and Heidi, responded promptly to any request.Very close (under 2 miles) to town.Would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome basket…not something you typically see in a vacation rental. Five stars for sure!"
