"We had a pleasant stay overall. The highlight of this hotel was definitely the staff—they were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality truly made our stay memorable.
The breakfast was excellent, with a semi-buffet setup offering a great selection of fresh and delicious food. It was one of the best parts of our stay.
We booked a private pool with a valley view, but it wasn't really the valley view we were expecting. Also, while the room is marketed as having a private pool, it isn't completely private. There are rooms directly above, and we could hear guests making noise at night, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a quiet, secluded experience.
Another thing to be aware of is the location. The hotel is quite far from Ubud Center, so you'll need transportation if you plan to explore the area frequently.
Overall, the outstanding staff and excellent breakfast were the highlights of our stay. However, the limited valley view, the lack of privacy in the pool villa, and the distance from Ubud Center are all worth considering before booking."
"Our stay at Ayung Resort was one of the highlights of our Southeast Asia trip. We stayed at around seven different properties, and this was easily our favorite.
The villa exceeded our expectations and looked exactly like the photos—no misleading editing like we experienced at some other places in Bali. The beautiful hand-carved wooden details throughout the room gave it an authentic Balinese feel while still feeling truly luxurious.
The location was perfect. Instead of staying in the busy, crowded Ubud Palace area, we were surrounded by lush forest with the soothing sound of the Ayung River. Waking up to monkeys peacefully going about their morning in the trees was a memorable experience.
The resort grounds are large, beautifully landscaped, and impeccably maintained. Housekeeping was outstanding—the room was spotless every day, and water, toiletries, towels, and everything else were replenished without us ever needing to ask. The buggy service was always quick, and every staff member we met was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful.
We also had the seafood dinner one evening, and it was one of the best meals of our trip. Breakfast was good, although after several mornings the selection became a little repetitive.
Overall, this is what true luxury feels like: beautiful surroundings, authentic Balinese craftsmanship, exceptional service, and attention to every detail. Every dollar felt well spent, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended for any"
"I had a great stay, rooms were very clean, the building is old but very well maintained, staff are super nice and helpful. Location is excellent and everything is at walking distance. Only thing that was very annoying was the shower, the head is fixed and not adjustable meaning if you are a short person like me you will have difficulty washing your hair! Other than that it was a great stay, highly recommended."
"This property was one to die for. The rooms were strategically located with hidden privacy for the streaming pool attached to the room. The inside shower was a work of art even though inside the room gave the feel of outside. The high ceilings which were handcrafted were a work of art.
The dining area with the high ceilings have a warm feeling. The which prepared by the kitchen staff which seemed to be cooked to order was absolutely delicious.
The Spa was one of a kind hidden at least three floors underground and what gave an outside look in the jungle with streams flowing and the birds chirping in the air for a nice and relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this resort and give it 10/10.
Give the opportunity I would definitely return to this resort again."
"I stayed at Utopia Concept in Bali for around three days in Villa 10 and had a fantastic experience. The villa was modern, stylish and very comfortable, with a private pool and beautiful views that made the stay feel extra special.
The room had some great touches, including a Harman Kardon Bluetooth speaker, fast and reliable Wi-Fi, and an impressive double shower. Everything felt well designed and thoughtfully equipped.
The staff were friendly, welcoming and always helpful. I would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend Utopia Concept to anyone looking for a modern and relaxing villa experience in Bali."
"We got the room with pool. It was bigger than expected which was a pleasant surprise, and the room itself was spacious. The buffet breakfast was great quality with a variety of options. The highlight was the service provided by staff; everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Very sad to leave this resort."
"Le seul problème c’etait les tableaux et exces de statues dans le resort et les chambres. Les enfants etaient terorisés quand ils voyaient ceci. A part ca merci a l’homme de chambre tres gentil, beau travail, un grand merci a agus superviseur du restaurant. Tres aimable avec nos enfants"
"Always an amazing experience at this hotel. Spacious rooms, extremely helpful staff. Great food. And of course the elephant experiences.
The hotel had to react to the government disallowing elephant rides, and they added several new experiences.
A few things such as the light switches, AC control etc. are a bit aged by now, but that doesn't take away from the overall top rating."
