Beautiful site, property in state of disrepair pathways dangerous, lighting broken or missing, pools not maintained properly, restaurants not open, no ice machines, no vending machines, no staff to show you way to rooms, lack of interest period. referred to as dormitory for airport workers this site should not be recommended to vacationers

The property is located in an area we prefer to be, away from the crowds and cruise ships. A few negatives - our room was not serviced the second day of our stay, though there is a $12 cleaning fee per person per day. I notified the front desk and the charge was removed. We had a problem with our toilet each day but tried to manage the best we could. The beach is approximately a 1 1/2 mile walk. A few positives - the Town, including restaurants, coffee shops and bars are an easy walk from the property. The view is outstanding and the pool very refreshing. The pizza at the hotel bar is delicious and the bar staff are very friendly.

Acceptable price during end of season sale and restaurant staff service are the only positives. Water supply constantly interrupted and stories are very inconsistent one day it is Bermuda government, next day it is some ongoing construction that diverted all property water, but it appears that they try to reduce their operating expenses by imposing artificial water limits. Try waking up without any water to wash or brush your teeth, then experience being stuck on the shower covered in soap and ongoing water interruption. Water available only few times a day without any timetable schedule was dirty brown with rust and particles. Hotel overall physical condition deteriorating and it shows wear and tear for 30 years old property. Not a 3 star property hardly even 2 star.

We really enjoyed the pools, although there were a few areas where the bottom was cracking or a piece had broken. The shuttle takes you to many of the local beaches and the driver was awesome. The shuttle doesn’t run on Mondays though which we weren’t aware of until we needed a ride. We found the daily cleaning fee to be excessive for what you get. We had to buy our own toilet paper because it wasn’t restocked timely, yet we paid $12 per person per day (there were 5 of us) for them to change out our towels and restock soap. The food is really good and they offer specials and discounts to help offset the price.

The staff is extremely polite and the customer service was well above average. The linen & towels were white and fluffy. The kitchen appliances were extremely clean. However, the property needs some repairs and closer attention should be paid when cleaning the villas. Ex. walls, doors, and fixtures. Lastly, an update is needed to furniture and art decor, as well as, all carpet needs to changed.

Got upgraded to ocean view,(expected junior garden suite) so was great. beautiful view of the harbor. Also had a full kitchen which wasn't clear on website. Kettle, full size fridge, dishes, cutlery, everything you could need. Also the private beach was gorgeous, with shuttle, better than expected. Would like to go again.

The location is fantastic. The layout of the cottages and design of the complex is very good. However the complex is in need of a complete refresh and update of basic elements such as plumbing and fixtures, furniture and finishes. In its day this would have been a premium resort but it is getting past its prime.

This is a huge property with only one restaurant on the entire property which is in the main building where none of the cottages are. None of the food was anything I would order again. No other entertainment on the property but a few pools that no one seemed to be in. Very empty, very little guest. Be prepared to leave the property to do everything.

The specific unit in which we stayed was a bit tired. It was not clean when we arrived. Was subsequently cleaned daily. The pool areas were nice. The breakfast was saved by a lovely attendant (Denver) who could not have been more personable and helpful with recommendations about what to see and do in Bermuda.

You get what you pay for...this is a budget resort

The resort is very nice on the outside. Nice grounds, nice pools, nice views of St George Bay(from some units). Our unit was old and dingy. A fresh coat of paint would have made a world of difference, as the walls had water damage stains everywhere. The carpet upstairs was dirty too. Cabinets in the kitchen were circa 1985, and the toilets take 3-4 flushes for “things” to go down. Almost 1/2 of the windows do not open, and some were cracked. Ironically, the stainless steel appliances were newer and nice, but did not fit in the “old” kitchen. Worst part about the resort(our unit and the ones next to us) was the water issue. Randomly the water in the showers/toilets stop working. Sometimes it lasts 1 minute, sometimes 10 minutes. Getting caught in the shower with soap everywhere when water stops flowing is a nightmare. Asked management why this happens EVERYDAY and was never given an answer. Just, “it happens”. The restaurant is the highlight of the visit. Old reviews give this place a bad reputation. Griffins Restaurant has a new food & beverage manager since Nov 2018, and it shows. The new breakfast menu is short and sweet. Nothing you cannot get, just ask. The service from “Denver” is top notch....”Cheers”!! The bar has been updated with top shelf liquors, and Craig has updated specific menus to help you learn about what you can order(High end Gun,Whiskey,etc). Overall, the unit sucked but was large. Good views. Restaurant/bar vastly improved.
