"Die Bilder im Inserat versprechen nicht zu viel - die Aussicht vom Wohnzimmer und der Terrasse ist grandios. Ein wenig getrübt wurde der Aufenthalt dadurch, dass ständig gelüftet werden muss, weil das Holzhaus sonst etwas muffig riecht. Dass bei dem üppigen Mietpreis der Strom noch extra dazukommt, ist etwas übertrieben."

"The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna."

"We had a lovely few days in Walled Garden Mews 10 in Melfort Holiday Village. It was well thought-out and so comfortably slept four adults and two children on the sofa bed on the mezzanine. There was plenty of storage and the kitchen was one of the best equipped I've come across in a holiday let. The facilities were great; the children were able to run free and enjoy the games rooms and the swings that were just next door/outside and we all loved going to the pool, which was beautifully warm....

"We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. Matthew is a wonderful host, and we felt welcome in his home. The breakfast offerings were top notch, and our room and bed were so comfortable. "Fantastic, overall. Convenient location; fantastic room (even if a bit of a walk). Our only complaints are relatively minor. There was an issue with the heating in the pool while we were there, which did put a bit of a damper on that side of things. Perhaps a small discount would have been appropriate in that circumstance. The other was that we felt pressured to commit to buying the breakfast when checking in in order to receive the discount. Ultimately, this meant that there were 2 days we would have ended up getting breakfast at the hotel but did not due to the higher price. Oh well. Apart from that, top notch."
